INTRODUCTION
13. The hastily way of passing the bills in the parliament has raised many eyebrows and have made them
skeptic for any under the line argument which can do more harm than good.
No discussions with the stakeholders have been done and no minister has met farmers deligation to mitigate
their worries and listen to their possible suggestions.
No regulation framework or authority to see into malpractices of the private players.
Farmers are afraid of being pushed into the web of private players where they can exploit them.
Illiteracy
Political Dividend: As mentioned earlier agricultural workers constitute a big chunk of voter population and
political parties are seeing it as an easiest way of gaining some political dividend from these protests.
15. The bills brings an end to long awaited agriculture reforms and could increase the productivity and
income of agricultural works, bridging the rural urban divide.
It will be too early to say the course it will take as laws are as good as being implemented.
The government must listen to every stakeholder’s suggestion and mitigate their worries for they are the
pallbearer of the changes.
