“Steroids” is often an
abbreviation of Anabolic-
androgenic steroids.They are
synthetic (man-made) and share
many traits with testosterone. 1
Steroids improve the appearance
and performance of those taking
them – so much so that users
ignore potential side effects.
They are often injected but can
be taken orally as well.
