Course Description
This is a three day workshop that features a comprehensive
practical programme with hands-on experience under direct
supervision of experienced Gynaecological Surgeons.
The main aim is to achieve advanced level competency
which equates to being able to perform endometrial resection.

1. HystSim Simulator for various operative hysteroscopic surgery techniques
2. Polly Trainer, Strawberry Model and Simulator for MyoSure Morcellation
3. Simulator for Essure Hysteroscopic Sterilisation
4. The Potato model for Endometrial Resection
5. The Plastic Uterus model for Endometrial Resection
6. The Live Cattle Uterus Model for Endometrial and Septal Resection
7. The Pig Bladder Model for Versapoint Polypectomy
8. The Pepper Model for Polyp Snare Polypectomy
9. Endometrial ablation techniques using NovaSure, Thermachoice and Thermablate
Practical sessions will be small group based with emphasis on hands-on training covering
essential competencies of:
Equipment assembly Active / passive operative hysteroscopy
Hand-eye coordination Safe use of electro-surgery
Camera and telescope orientation Troubleshooting
