2. Paleolithic Age
• It is also known as Old Stone Age.
• Date back from 30,000 BC to 10,000 BC.
• Ancient humans relied on hunting and gathering plants.
• The life span if ancient humans was short i.e. 20-25 years.
• For communication, ancient humans used to make sounds or pointed
to objects to express meaning. Hand signals were also extensively
used.
3. Paleolithic Age
• Burial or death rites were practiced.
• Fortune and misfortune were related to the fact that deities are
pleased or angry.
• Early human lived in huts/ tepees/ caves.
• Early humans worked through fire (fire was created by rubbing two
stones together)
• Early humans were largely nomads.
4. Paleolithic Age
• Initially used tree branches or thick sticks as tools and later on, they
used stone toolkit for hunting.
• Used to wear animals’ skin and jewelry.
• Believed in living in communities.
• Men and women used to enjoy equal rights.
• Their art work is based on sculptures, rock art, cave paintings which
demonstrates their creativity. Most of the paintings are of mammoths,
bison, reindeer, horses, wild oxen.
