Come celebrate the French National day with us! With the presence of the Consul General of
France in Chicago, the honorable Vincent Floreani.
Program:
Dance at the “Bal Populaire” to the live sound of the French rock band, La Jarry.
Watch waiters from your favorite French restaurants compete in a race that involves running
as fast as you can while balancing a tray … without spilling a drop of grand crus. It’s called
La Course de Garçon de Café!
Try your luck at pétanque, the famous game played for centuries in Marseille… and let our
volunteers teach you a word or two: “ Tu pointes ou tu tires, Marcel?!?”
Have your picture taken at the Alliance Française photo booth in front of the French flag;
“bleu, blanc, rouge”!
Stay with your “amis” to enjoy a taste of France: food vendors on-site with sweet & savoury
crepes,pastries, sandwiches, and French wine.
Raffle and prizes to win, including a plane ticket for two to Paris, and much, much more.
Come and celebrate with us but no worries… no heads will roll this time, just “du bon
temps”!
