The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is an officer responsible for the entire finance,
accounting & compliance (F&A) functions of an organization. He is a partner to the
Entrepreneur/CEO, who provides critical financial inputs for decision making.
As all organisations including SMEs face numerous business complexities and
challenges they can benefit if the F&A function is managed by an expert as the CFO
on a contractual basis.
SMEs due to their size and scale are unable to justify the need for or cost of a full-

9. Engagement Model - Retainership
Aurel services are offered on a monthly retainership
The scope of services are designed taking into consideration the Client
business complexities, its needs and concerns
The actual scope of services defined for an assignment may not include all
of the services mentioned preceding slides.
The retainership fee is based on the scope defined for the assignment
A member from Team Aurel is designated as a CFO for a Client
The CFO from Team Aurel is not a consultant but an integral part of the
Client Organization responsible for the Finance Function
Routine accounting and reporting is the responsibility of Clients Account
Department. Team Aurel will supplement the efforts where necessary to
streamline the accounting and reporting initially for a separate fee.
10. Engagement Model - Assignment
Aurel can also offer its services on a assignment basis
In an assignment model, the Client may request Aurel to undertake a
specific service for a specific period of time or for a specific defined objective
The assignment is carried out for a fixed fee as agreed
