1. The Oklahoma United Methodist
Circle of Care has provided for
Oklahoma children and youth through
residential and foster care families
since 1917. Our mission is to provide
help, healing, and wholeness to
children, youth, and families who are
hurting and in need.
Circle of Care does not see the
children, youth, and families we serve
as "at-risk," but "at-promise." We
believe every person has received
special gifts from God. Love and
acceptance heals hurting that can be
mended by no other means but
through God’s perfect love.

What is Foster Care?
Foster Care was created to provide a
temporary home for children who are vic-
tims of abuse and neglect.
When a child is placed in state custody,
they are taken to a shelter to wait for an
available foster home.
Foster Care allows these children to live
in a loving environment. Children stay in
foster care until they are either reunified
with their parents or until a permanent
home can be found.
