  2. 2. This is Atlas Copco Atlas Copco is a global and industrial company with a highly innovative spirit. Our customers are active in a wide range of industries in more than 180 countries. We have our own operations in more than 70 countries and close to 37 000 employees. In 2018, revenues reached 95 billion Swedish kronor/ 9 billion Euro and the operating margin was 22.2%.
  3. 3. A decentralized Group Atlas Copco is a decentralized Group consisting of 21 independent operational units, divisions, organized into four business areas. The main role of a business area is to develop leading technology within its business scope and to follow up on objectives and strategies. This also includes people, environmental and social performance. The divisions are our highest operational entities with their own profit responsibility. They are in charge of product development, manufacturing, marketing and sales. Each business area also has one or more dedicated service divisions. The divisions generally conduct business through local customer centers and designated product companies.
  4. 4. A very global presence We have a strong market presence in more than 180 countries. We stay close to our customers and maintain close and long-term relationships with all our stakeholders. Asia/Australia is Atlas Copco’s largest region followed by Europe and North America. We manufacture and assemble products in around 20 countries. Manufacturing is mainly concentrated in Belgium, Sweden, the United States, India, Germany, France, and China. In addition, we serve our customers worldwide with direct, daily deliveries from distribution centers in strategic locations.

  14. 14. Orders received per business area Compressor Technique is the biggest business area, representing almost half of our turnover. Vacuum Technique has grown to become the second biggest area with 22% of the turnover. It is closely followed by Industrial Technque who accounts for 19%. Last but not least, Power Technique accounts for 13% of Group´s turnover.
  15. 15. Community engagement: Water for All Our common world-wide community engagement is made through Water for All. Created by Atlas Copco employees in 1984 this non-profit organization has brought sustainable water supplies to more than two million people, by drilling, digging or protecting natural springs. Our employees donate money on a voluntary basis and Atlas Copco matches with twice the amount.
