 Sponsored by New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) as a part of
advance innovative energy solutions. Development of practical methods to measure temperature field
of objects from the RAW image data obtained from a commercially available digital camera, enabling
temperature measurement to be carried out on archived images and footages of hot bodies emitting
visible light.
Analysis, Design and Fabrication of a Miniature Turbojet Engine
 Designing and fabricating a small scale low-thrust turbojet from scratch using commonly available
materials to gain working knowledge in gas turbines and develop innovative approaches as to its
fabrication.
Analysis of Vibration Characteristics of a Body using Magnetic Excitation
 Study the resonance and damping characteristics of a body by using electromagnetism to induce and
control vibrations, to develop the performance and fatigue failure characteristics.
Characteristics and Effect of Split Injection in Combustion Ignition Engines
 Seminar on the study of effect of split injection on the emission and performance characteristics of a
CI engine, and analyzing the optimum value for the split ratio.
Visited Indian Space Research Organization Inertial Systems Unit, Trivandrum
 2 week visit at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Inertial Systems Unit (IISU). Designed
a prototype assembly of accelerometers and gyros for a navigation system, and visited the Precision
Instruments Laboratory (PIL) and Metrology and Inspection Laboratory of the facility.
