Description: Apollo Tyres is setting up PCR & TBR plant in Hungary focusing mainly on EU tyre market. This is
also a Greenfield project in Gyongyos, Hungary, and spread over an area of 120 acres. The plant
terminal capacity is to produce 60000 PCR tyres/ day & 6000 TBR tyres/day.
Key Deliverables:
 Spearheaded Material Track and trace project in the entire plant using RFID and Barcode right from the starting
 Hands on experience in implementing MES (manufacturing execution system ) throughout the plant
 Coordinated, discussed and finalised the special requirements needs to be considered in the process machines for
implementing MES and RFID/Barcode Material Mistake proofing.
 Coordinated religiously to incorporate all the improvement points from the past experience in the newer machines.
 Conducted discussions with vendors regarding various manufacturing equipments such as Cutters and slitters, Bead
winding, Bead apexing & Tyre Building Machines.
 Responsible for erection and commissioning of manufacturing machines like Cutters (4 Machines), Slitters (2
Machines), Bead Winding (2 Machines), Bead Apexing (5 Machines) & Tyre Building (10 Machines) of both PCR & TBR.
PCR & TBR Project Channai
Organization: Greenfield Project, Apollo Tyres, Chennai
Duration: Jan’09 - Present
Location: Oragadam, Chennai
Role: Team Member - Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Description: Apollo Tyres, Chennai is setting up a plant in Chennai which caters to the PCR & TBR market
requirements, both domestic & abroad. The same is a Greenfield project that is setup in SIPCOT
Industrial Park, Chennai, and spread over an area of 125 acres. The plant terminal capacity is to
produce 30000 PCR tyres/ day & 6000 TBR tyres/day.
Key Deliverables:
 Spearheaded the entire project activities right from the starting phase
 Performed O&M activities, executed small improvement projects & PDCA activities of the commissioned machines
along with erection & commissioning activities of other machines
 Supervised sub projects during trial run of newly commissioned machines to eliminate the issues relatedto safety,
product quality, cycle time, maintainability, power consumption and critical component failures
 Conducted discussions with vendors regarding various manufacturing equipments such as Mixers (2 Machines),
Automatic Chemical and Carbon Charging & Weighing System (2 Machines) & Tyre Building Machines (12 Machines).
OTR Plant & PCR Expansion Project Vadodara
Organization: Expansion Project, Apollo Tyres, Vadodara
Duration: Feb ’08 – Jan ’09
Location: Vadodara, Gujarat
Role: Executive-Electrical and Electronics Projects
Description: Apollo Tyres, Vadodara was setting up an OTR (Off the road) plant [7 MTPD ] and was enhancing
its PCR (Passenger Car Radial) plant capacity from 12,500 tyres/ day to 17,000 tyres/ day.
Key Deliverables:
 Proactively participated in project planning, identified potential areas, facilitated support of internal & external
stakeholders and financial & other resources to ensure final project execution
 Coordinated with vendors about various manufacturing equipments such as Mixers, Automatic Chemical & Carbon
Charging, Weighing System & Tyre Building Machines
 Erection, commissioning & testing of manufacturing equipments after finalizing the electrical drawings and cable
routing
 Key role in commissioning activity to ensure the functioning of machine/equipment as per the required blue book
specification
 Supervised purchase & service requisitions in SAP for materialprocurement & service respectively and ensured
continuous follow up with Purchase Team for material delivery
 Liaised with different contract agencies at site for timely completion of the work.
