2. Introduction and working
Grass Cutting project is our major project. We will operate this machine using solar
panel. We found tough to get idea from Internet because its tough to get combined
material to make Mechanical design. There are two ways to cut grass- one redial and
another is axial. Normally grass cutter machines are axial type. We will cut grass With
radial method.

Solar energy begins with the sun. Solar panel (also known as “PV panels”) are used to
convert light from the sun, which is composed of particles of energy called “photons
“, into electricity That can be used to power electrical loads.
6. Battery
Battery is used for store the solar energy which can be further converted into
electrical energy. The battery should requires following properties.
(1) Long life
(2) High reliability
(3) Low cost
(4) High over all efficiency
8. DC Motor
The speed control of dc motor is achieved easily hence we are using dc motor for
mowing the grass cutter and cutting the grass. Here we are separate motor for mowing
and cutting the grass.
The speed of motor used for blades is greater than used for mowing the cutter.
9. Future scope
1. Programming can be enhanced to make the device perform for different
operation.
2. We can install the grass collector to collect the grass , instead of leaving behind it.

11. Disadvantages
1. It is costly. An electric mower is more expensive.
2. The eventual disposal of worn-out batteries is problematic & the motors in
cordless mower lend to be less powerful than gasoline motors of the same total weight
(including batteries).
3. As a result of incorrect use. Fluid can leak from the rechargeable battery.

1. For play grounds (cricket ground, football ground etc.)

Robotics is very vast field which comes with different combination of technology this
will helps to reduces the human effort and gives maximum efficient output for the
work, Nowadays lot of energy is wasted for grass cutting in different areas of the
world and also takes lots of human effort for the work. Advantages of this systems
are used components are of low cost so and in bulk production.
