4. Technical Assistance for Mainstreaming Climate

Cambodian institutions and policy makers to
address the impacts of climate change by
integrating climate resilience into development
planning. (Jun 2013 – April 2014)

Conducted research, wrote various sections, and
coordinated work for the successful development
of the technical proposal for this $ 3.5 million grant
project from Climate Investment Funds – the
current largest funding source for climate change
projects in developing countries. Upon winning this
project, I was involved in the kick-off mission,
inception workshop, national climate change
capacity assessment, policy analysis, gender
assessment, and developing project reports.

5. Cambodia-China-Australia Cooperation for Improved
Irrigation in Cambodia

Duration
This project supported exchange visits for key official
and experts from China, Cambodia, and Australia. The
visits to the three countries provided an opportunity
for participants to share knowledge and experience
about irrigation, with the aim of generating
information about the technical capacity, current
practices, and existing and planned activities for a
possible capacity development project in the
Cambodian irrigation sector. (Apr 2013 – April 2014)

discuss and deliver actions on water resources
management challenges in the catchment.
7. Improving Water Governance and Climate Change
Adaptation in CambodiaProjectDescription&Duration
This project explored strategies for improving
water governance and climate change adaptation
in Cambodia. Specifically, the project conducted
research to identify and fill gaps in vulnerability
and adaptation studies in Cambodia; examine the
joint impacts of climate change and the extensive
hydrological development in the Mekong region
on the country’s water and related resources; and
find institutional and governance solutions to
manage these challenges.

(Component 4) and outreach and information

Provided technical support for Components 4 & 5 of
PPCR Phase I, including conducting research, writing
reports, making arrangements for high-level multi-

Cambodian partners. I also helped in organizing the
final workshop of this project, which was attended
by high-level government officials, ADB, and various
CSOs and NGOs.
