This student completed a chemistry lab involving making solutions from a mother solution and using a spectrograph to analyze transmission and absence. While the student made an error in their solution requiring their data point to be removed, they found the lab to be a great learning experience thanks to their mentor. The student believes analytical chemistry is challenging but rewarding and found this lab to be educational and enjoyable.

We made solutions of a mother solution and then used a spectrograph to check its transmission and absence. Although I made an error during the solution and my point had to be eliminated from the calibration scale I enjoyed this laboratory. It was a great learning experience from a great mentor, Resto. Analytical chemistry is definitely a tough field, but it is worth it. This was a well worth lab and hopefully the next laboratories will be as enjoyable and educative. <br />
