re: Anthony McGinn, BSc. Arch.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I am happy to provide this reference for Anthony McGinn, who was a final year student of
the Bachelor in Architecture degree course at University College Dublin. I have had the
privilege of tutoring Anthony , as part of a group of students who were developing their final
projects during the academic year 2015-16. Their main first semester brief was for a canoe
club building and associated landscaping works on a site along the c.18th Grand Canal in the
rolling landscape of the Irish midlands. The final project of the year was for a Research Farm,
following a detailed brief provided by the University Agriculture department.
I would recommend Anthony as a perceptive and intuitive architect with a particular
receptivity to issues of structure and material, who would be able to develop a complex and
architecturally nuanced response to a given context. His diligence and work-rate sets him
apart from his colleagues, and it has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with him in the
design studio. He has a friendly, quiet and understated character which would suit perfectly
a team, office or collegiate setting.
Please do not hesitate to revert to me – I would be happy to provide any further
information.
Yours sincerely
