The Professional Experience
Finance
Partner in one of the first three established LBO firms, (Quincy-Hillman). Implemented operational and
financial plans for the first reorganization as co-owner of an insolvent partnership (NAE dba NY
Islanders). Founder KRONOS, Inc. 1st microprocessor controlled algorithm in time/attendance. Was
key in decision making while galvanizing sales program for a commercial foreign currency
modeling/hedging operating and inventory risk (GFTA-Dusseldorf) while also establishing
partnerships and improving operations to make the company’s future more sustainable.
Automotive
CEO of Vicarage Motor Cars, Inc. a Jaguar-sponsored member of the Society of Motor
Manufacturers and Traders (UK). Created the market for uprated historic classic cars specializing in
Jaguars. Built the only Jaguar Mark II DHC for production and the unique XJ-13 Le Mans prototype
tested to 168 mph. Led a large team to develop and execute strategic long range plans.
Toy Industry
Provided investment banking advice and closed the acquisition of Milton Bradley Company for $400
million. As Senior Vice-President, integrated and managed the combined $300 million European
business for Milton Bradley and Hasbro, Inc. achieving industry sales leadership in Europe while
assembling a top ranked staff for the European operations and establishing financial stability. As CEO,
restructured and revitalized FAO Schwarz and marketed the first FAO branded retail offerings.
Designed a two-story toy extravaganza for Mohamed Al-Fayed at Harrods, London. Developed and
designed the first haute couture fashion doll and Unexpected Token, the sole tablet game based on
worldwide subway travel.
Beauty Industry
As CEO/founder of Camelot Haircare Products, created and marketed the revolutionary Marilyn
Brush; the only patented hourglass-shaped hair tool. When it entered the market, the Marilyn® brush
sold at double the price of all competitors and changed the landscape. Camelot achieved industry
leadership while winning Best Hairbrush Award in 2005 and 2006. Achieved 90% distributor
coverage within four years of start up while pioneering the teaching of hair brushing techniques using
only Marilyn® hairbrushes in 100 beauty schools across North America… an industry first in part due
to innovative use of technology and social as well as traditional media.
2. Solar Industry
Financially engineered for Benson Solar Green Technologies a no net cost option to install a four
megawatt solar system in Monroe County (Florida Keys) for the School Board in which the capital
cost was funded by a concomitant reduction in operating expenses.
Marine Industry
Together with a senior marine architect, created the first specifically designed 48-foot outboard powered
pleasure craft using four Seven-Marine 557-hp outboards weighing 4000 pounds hung on the transom.
Successfully competed in the Florida Venture Capital Business Plan competition 2014 and the winning
venture, Outlier Yachts, was funded with $2.0 million in start-up capital.
Health & Natural Foods Industry
Chairman XTEST, Inc. start-up/seed venture, SkySong-based, Arizona State University; Vice-
Chairman TriageNow, the leading provider of nurse triage in workman’s compensation. Established
nutraceutical relationship of the flavonoid Anthocyanin in Saskatoon berries as medicinal food.
Evaluating the efficacy and sustainability of regenerative options like dry almond farming as well as
examining non-pharma alternatives for health. Worked with the British Columbia Salmon Farmer’s
Association and the University of British Columbia to create the first study of a chlorine dioxide
(CL02) single source product to aid in disease mitigation in salmon, funded in partnership with the
Canadian Government and private interests.
Non-Profit
Has enjoyed a core philosophy based on the principles of servant leadership throughout career. Sat on
the boards and/or taken key and active roles with the following organizations: Positive Coaching
Alliance (Phoenix chapter); Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach (Founder); Hasbro
Children’s Hospital (advisor), Baccarat 1764 Family Trusts (France), Jaguar Heritage
Trust/Midland Motor Museum ( UK); Wenonah Family Foundation (Jules Bache); Joy and
Anthony Parkinson Foundation; Wharton Graduate Division Board of Directors (co-chair,
Curriculum committee); Grace Commission (co-chair 1 of 36 groupings); several
wildlife/environmental initiatives for water and land conservation in Florida including The Nature
Conservancy, River Keeper (Coalition), Everglades Restoration, and Wetlands Management in an
area that was geographically diverse and composed of many cultural backgrounds. Excelled at attracting
and retaining key volunteer and staff leadership.
Athletics
Post-collegiate play on the ice included, the St. Nicks Hockey Club; Springfield Indians; Jokerit
Premiere Division, Helsinki, Finland. Professional involvement with the New York Islanders and on the
Lacrosse field with the Long Island Lacrosse Club leading to a youth coaching after-hours career
training over 600 boys and girls in both sports.
