stARTup Art Fair is pleased to announce the legendary Highland Gardens
Hotel as the official venue for our Los Angeles fair, January 29-31, 2016.
The chic 1950’s era hotel, once known as the Landmark Motor Hotel, was a
magnet for rock n’ roll elite in its former days, and today continues to be a
beacon of old Hollywood glamour. Through its rich legacy and cultural
connection, the Highland Gardens Hotel provides the perfect backdrop for
stARTup LA’s artist exhibitors to showcase their work.
stARTup Art Fair is an independently produced contemporary art fair for
unrepresented artists. Its core mission is to provide artists with direct access
to the art world, in an exhibition venue populated by dealers, curators,
collectors, critics, and art appreciators. Artists keep 100% of their sales
proceeds and any new, proprietary relationships established during the fair.
What artists are saying about stARTup:
Thanks for doing such an excellent job at promoting the fair. I made 10 sales
and at least six curators stopped by. I am extremely pleased with the whole
event and your efforts really paid off. - Kathy Aoki
What a great and productive weekend. Thank you for all your hard work and
attentiveness. You both made us all feel welcomed and respected! - Rodney
Ewing
I was at first hesitant to participate, but I am beyond pleased with having
done so. I was amazed at the number of people who came through and am
happy with the contacts I made...And yes, I am also relieved to have sold as
much work as I did; it covered all of my costs and beyond. - Mitra Fabian
I had a fantastic time, made multiple sales, made tons of new contacts and
overall just thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I really appreciate all the
hard work the organizers did to pull this off and the opportunity to show my
work and feel it was a huge success for me! - Rebecca Fox
I am holed up in my room exhausted but deliriously happy. Thank you for
including me in this amazing event. I have met so many beautiful artists and
am feeling a bit spoiled by the generosity of spirit. You have raised the bar...I
am ruined for all other art fairs! - Jenifer Yeuroukis
The hotel’s courtyard was a cauldron of energy...you guys pulled off a great
fair and I was honored and pleased to be a part of it. I haven’t had that much
art related fun in a while. - David “Squid” Quinn
Just the connections alone were worth it. - Theresa Morgan
