You’ve no doubt invested a lot of effort and hours to determine why and how your business needs to change. But determining what you need to do with software and the associated infrastructure isn’t always as straightforward, especially in today’s fast-paced technology space.
So while you’re experts at [insert client expertise], we’re experts at ERP transformation and cloud evolution.
From our experience, we know there are four key things clients seek in a trusted business and technology partner: Strength and stability for assurance that they’ll be around to see your project through; a full complement of Ground-to-Cloud services to fit the needs of your business; Proven Expertise for the confidence they can handle whatever the project throws at them; and a true Customer Focus because your goals and objectives are the only ones that matter.
Let’s take a look at what Denovo has to offer in each of these areas.
When founded 13 years ago, we served an emerging market of companies challenged by how to optimize and protect their ERP investments. There were several companies offering similar services and there was a lot of sameness to the market. Even then, we knew we had to offer something special to succeed. So we went beyond cookie cutter solutions and built a solid foundation of business by more effectively connecting our clients’ business objectives to their technology investments. By really seeking to understand how their businesses worked, and tailoring solutions to their individual goals, we embarked on a new way of approaching business and technology solutions – it was no longer about selling software packages, but about solving business problems.
And our company name reflects that approach. Literally meaning “beginning anew,” we offered a fresh take on providing technology consulting and services. And we have continued to ‘begin anew’ over the years, as we pioneered JD Edwards in the Cloud and became established as Oracle’s go-to partner for JD Edwards in the Cloud.
And while our business has grown and evolved, our core principles have not. Our team of 300 professionals, experts at their business, remains committed to learning yours.
You can trust us to know what’s going on in the market – both currently and what lies ahead –and any impact on your project. You also can rest easy knowing that if something doesn’t go exactly as planned, we’ve most likely seen it – and handled it – before. Finally – and perhaps most important – we’re in this with you for the long haul; to see your project through to successful completion.
Here’s a little bit more about our evolution to a leading market integrator and cloud services provider.
It’s particularly interesting to look at Denovo’s history in the context of the market shifts over the past decade.
Denovo was founded in 2003, just a few years after the dot com bubble burst and on the front end of considerable change in the ERP technology space. As the dot com retail giants modernized their data centers and offered cloud computing to their customers, we entered the early adopter phase of cloud technology. Denovo, meanwhile, had established itself as JD Edwards experts but also expanded its offerings to include cloud services. And within a few years pioneered the development and management of complex solutions such as JD Edwards in the cloud that cemented their status as Oracle’s go-to provider for JD Edwards.
The cloud market continued to evolve and many companies began to make small moves to the cloud for non-mission-critical applications. In fact, according to IDG, in 2015 as much as a quarter of IT budgets were allocated to cloud services. And as the market transitions from a period of Early Cloud Majority to Mainstream Cloud Adoption, 93 percent of organizations are running applications in the cloud or experimenting with infrastructure-as-a-service, as reported in Forbes’ 2015 State of the Cloud Report.
With the explosion of cloud applications and the constant noise about everything cloud, many businesses struggled to determine what type of cloud strategy to pursue and concerns persisted about how to manage and integrate data between new applications in the cloud and a core ERP system. So, building on our success with taking JD Edwards customers to the cloud, Denovo made three strategic acquisitions in 2015 designed to strengthen our portfolio of integration services.
Of these, our acquisition of BizTech – with a focus on cloud implementations for Oracle eBiz and Fusion – significantly deepened our portfolio of Oracle ERP products and cloud services.
With strong roots in consulting and managed services and hard-earned cloud expertise, we continue to grow and evolve our business to anticipate and meet the needs of growth-driven companies of all sizes.
The landscape of integrators and cloud providers is a fragmented one, with many providers serving a limited geographic area, excelling in a specific business application niche or even within a single industry. And while we’re not here to do everything, we do take opportunities to grow – both organically and through acquisitions – in ways that allow us to offer a more comprehensive suite of integration services at a lower cost to our customers. In doing so, we offer a more seamless and painless IT transformation – because if it means even one less vendor for you to deal with, you’re saving time and money.
We are now the only company serving the mid-market that offers a true national presence and expertise across an Oracle portfolio that includes JD Edwards, e-Business Suite and Cloud ERP – allowing us to bring more services to more places.

Let’s take a minute to talk Cloud ERP adoption, from an Oracle perspective…
Let’s be clear – the business challenges you face are complex. And the choices for how to transform your ERP landscape can be confusing. But what we do isn’t. Our primary objective is to make your ERP transformation easy for you, and that begins with our core offerings.
These include:
Consulting Services that leverage our deep industry experience and extensive ERP specializations to develop strategies and recommendations for addressing your business challenges and moving forward;
Managed Services that provide you the peace of mind needed about your ERP infrastructure so you can focus their time and energy where its needed most – on your core business; and
Solution Software, specialized software that we’ve developed, based on our broad industry expertise to extend and optimize ERP performance in industries from manufacturing to real estate.
And we deliver our broad range of services in any of three ways: at your place/premise; at our place or in the cloud. Whether you’re keeping some applications on-site and moving only some to the cloud, and whether your comfort level is with a private, public or hybrid cloud, we can meet you where you are on the cloud continuum and take you where you want to go.
Let’s take a closer look at our services…
Our services framework is designed to support every phase of your ERP transformation and provide you with a flexible structure to align objectives, scale resources and embrace innovation.
The Design phase features advisory services to help you assess, define and architect your optimal ERP architecture and cloud computing vision. We work directly with key stakeholders to help determine how your company can best benefit from migrating or upgrading your ERP assets to the cloud and assess current systems to identify any existing vulnerabilities within your infrastructure and application environments. From Technology Assessments that evaluate the current state of your IT infrastructure and determine the hardware and software compliance capability to Performance Analyses that gauge the efficiency of your production databases with load and throughput testing, we can determine the overall health and upgrade readiness of your systems. We also conduct Process Improvement assessments to ensure your business processes are delivering the maximum operational efficiency, business visibility and agility that effectively support a dynamic technology environment and a growing business. From this phase will emerge a transformation roadmap customized to your business goals and objectives and serves as the blueprint for the Build phase.
The Build phase leverages the learnings and recommendations of the design phase and involves the implementation of your transformation plan, including application upgrades and cloud migrations. We oversee the process for you, providing complete accountability and ensuring seamless integration across platforms, security compliance and optimal resource allocation.
The Run phase features our wide set of Managed Services that allow you to manage your business, not your IT. Our Technical and Functional Application services put our experts in place to take care of day-to-day operations and maintenance, providing you with all the system administration and expert technical support services you need. Proactive monitoring and system oversight as well as an experienced, 24x7 support team for across-the-board coverage will give you the peace of mind you need to give your time and attention to the aspects of your business that matter most.
Disaster Recovery is a critical component of your IT infrastructure and overall business continuity. A single hour of downtime can cost anywhere from $74,000 for a midsize company to $800,000 for large enterprises [Source: Aberdeen Group] – and the average time to recover after a disaster is 18.5 hours [Data source: IDG]. Our Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) offering recognizes the complexity of today’s IT environments and provides tiered service options for data recovery and replication based upon your company’s Recovery Point Objective (RPO), or downtime tolerance.
Our Integration and Testing services ensure your applications work seamlessly across your enterprise and optimizes performance across your IT infrastructure. And our CNC (JD Edwards Configurable Network Computing) and DBA support services provide for the consistent integrity of technical specs through development and upgrades to ensure uninterrupted application performance.
In addition to our Consulting and Managed Services offerings, we offer Solution Software that features Denovo IP designed to further optimize performance of your applications. Denovo QuickBizTM Solutions feature pre-configured industry-specific SaaS offerings that integrate and automate common processes and significantly reduce deployment time. Denovo Quick Products are a set of modules that automate various complex mathematical formula calculations, such as sales commissions, late fees and loan payments within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. And Denovo on Demand is our proprietary OSS (Operations Support System) that provides real-time visibility into all of the applications we manage for you.
These services are offered across the full portfolio of Oracle applications we offer, as well as some non-Oracle applications including SAP.
Finally, whether these services are deployed at your site, in one of Denovo’s data centers across the U.S., or in the Cloud, our Managed Services offerings are backed by our world-class Global Service Desk and Technology Support team to provide you fast, knowledgeable and friendly service when you need it most.
Let’s take a minute to talk Cloud ERP adoption, from an Oracle perspective…
More broadly, while cloud adoption is becoming mainstream for many types of business applications such as marketing and HCM, we’re still in the early adopter phase of Cloud ERP. A 2014 Gartner study revealed that 47% of businesses surveyed planned to move to Cloud ERP by 2020, and about 10% of Denovo customers are running ERP in the cloud today.
That number will grow incrementally over the next five years, though, as more companies embrace end-to-end business transformation and the advantages offered by seamless connectedness of all functions across the enterprise.
Many mid-market companies are leading the march to cloud ERP adoption since they’re able to migrate with less disruption than larger, more complex enterprises. The move to cloud ERP offers considerable advantages for mid-market companies, including: faster deployment of applications and services, better collaboration across the enterprise, and a lower total cost of ownership.
The path to Cloud ERP is unique to every company, as you make the transition away from software and hardware in your own building. The most secure, but also the most expensive form of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) is a move to the Private Cloud as a virtual extension of your current data center. Though not on-premise, you rent dedicated physical servers within a dedicated area of our data center. This option provides the most security and customization but does not allow for dynamically scaling your resources as needed.
In a Public Cloud environment, though, you buy storage capacity on demand on virtual servers that are shared with other customers. The Public Cloud nearly eliminates your capital expense for equipment and frees up your time and effort to focus on managing your business instead of your IT operations. One of the biggest advantages to a Public Cloud strategy, though, is the ability to dynamically scale capacity to maximize your investment and quickly, easily and cost-effectively support high-volume or growth-focused activities.
Companies concerned about disrupting their business have traditionally resisted moving mission-critical ERP to the cloud. But after success with moving applications like marketing and HCM to the cloud – ones that were once deemed not to be mission critical, but in today’s word of enhanced marketing automation are driving considerable business value – companies are much more comfortable considering a move to Cloud ERP. And in many cases choose a hybrid cloud solution that puts some applications in a private cloud and some in a public cloud environment.
It’s said that one of the biggest predictors of future success is past success, and we have no shortage of that.
At Denovo, we know it really is our people who are our greatest asset and make the most difference – because our customers tell us so! They bring considerable experience and expertise to your project. With more than a decade of Oracle [JD Edwards, EBS] experience and even more industry-specific experience, they’ll ensure your project is off to a strong and quick start out of the gate and stays on schedule.
On top of their experience, our team members keep their skills, with many of them holding several Oracle certifications and specializations as well as advanced degrees.
Services can be delivered either on- or offsite. Bringing people into your office and onto your team for such a visible and high priority project can be tricky, but you can count on our experience with more than a thousand organizations to make it a smooth process. Denovo consultants work well with you and your team and respect your company culture while ensuring complete accountability day-to-day.

Outrigger Enterprise Group, one of the largest and fastest-growing hospitality companies in the Asia Pacific and Oceana regions, operates 46 properties with more than 11,000 rooms in locations like Hawaii, Australia, Fiji and Vietnam. Their challenge centered on a desire to standardize a global business model using Oracle’s JD Edwards EnerpriseOne ERP application, but there wasn’t consistency in the version of JD Edwards being used, and some locations weren’t using it at all.
We worked closely with Outrigger Enterprise Group to execute a multi-phased international rollout of Enterprise 9.1 in Fiji, Thailand, Maritius, Australia and Guam.
Fred Alger Management, a leading asset management firm based in Pennsylvania, was seeking a cloud-based option to address older legacy systems and outdated business processes that were hampering their growth efforts. After clarifying Alger’s key challenges and business drivers, we implemented a solution using Oracle ERP Cloud Financials.
We successfully led Alger through an operational transformation featuring: a fully integrated, efficient and intuitive back office, an employee self-service portal; pre-built reporting and analytic technology; full integration with other systems; and expanded social and mobile collaboration functionality.
Sunrise Medical, a world leader in development, design, manufacture and distribution of wheelchairs and motorized scooters, was seeking to reduce costs and improve IT support levels. We implemented a solution including Oracle’s EnterpriseOne hosting and cloud computing and help desk support services to address Sunrise’s primary challenges, taking extra care to ensure minimal impact to Sunrise’s business during the implementation, even hosting Sunrise employees in their offices for a brief period.
