As a child in my mother’s care, I was beaten with objects, suffered
fractures and often sent to school with bruises; my mother who
gave me the bruises would force me to attend school wearing
pants to cover the bruises on my legs.
My mother had told me stories of a her horrific experience giving
birth to me and how she suffered from post natal depression that
was never treated; I was blamed by my mother for everything that
went wrong, in particular, for all the suffering she endured within
our dysfunctional family unit; “I was born rotten, a bad seed”, she
used to add.
The next day the police came knocking on our door with bullet
proof vests and crow bars threatening to force entry and remove
my children, not allowing me the opportunity to explain my
circumstances from the inside of the front door; they came to our
door with pre-determined idea’s about my parenting standards
alleging abuse and neglect...
As the police officers were attempting to break into the front door
from the front end of the house, I got busy collecting my children
in a rush, practically pulling my son out the bath with only a towel
wrapped around him and escaped (all three of us) via the back
fence, forcing us to leave everything behind including our much
loved family pets. We absconded to Esta’s house...
I filed formal complaints to the Victorian Ombudsman’s Office
against DHS for falsifying information on legal documentation
against me, which could have ultimately cost me my children.
