As a product manager and event coordinator at a publishing house, one is responsible for managing magazines, acquiring authors and content, coordinating the publishing process, and staying within budget. They also organize conferences and events, negotiate with speakers and sponsors, control the budget, and represent the publishing house at events. Additionally, they may be tasked with creating and promoting innovative educational products combining seminars, webinars, and long-distance learning, in addition to managing around 20 different seminars and promotional approaches for various client groups.

magazines is pretty daunting

• Once a month there comes a
time when you can let out
creatively and write the
editorial or maybe even an
article

conferences always think globally
(or at least nationally)
• Write all the bodycopies for
promotional materials by your
self, otherwise you will end up
with an ecological conference for
doctors
• Negotiating with lecturers, media
and sponsors takes time and
enormous phone bill
• Controlling budget is essential
• Last but not least represent the
Publishing House during the actual
event to the best of your abilities

4. On an off day you may be asked to create and promote an innovative
educational product that combines seminars, webinars and long- distant
learning.
