Q1
X found writing comics too difficult. Before he found fame as a novelist, he eked
living writing for men’s adventure magazines for Marvel’s publisher. Short of
cash one month he asked Stan Lee if he could try his handwriting a comic script.
Lee readily agreed but he couldn’t deliver the goods. “He said it was too
difficult,”
Lee recounts in his autobiography. X told him: “I could write a novel in the time
it would take me to figure this damn thing out.” He did eventually crack the
superhero nut, writing the screenplays for the first two Superman movies.
Identify X, who is famous as a crime-novelist.
Q2:
Teen Titans: The Lost Annual is a 2008 one-shot, from DC Comics,
written by Bob Haney, with art by Jay Stephens and Mike Allred. The
team travels to space to help X defeat an oppressive alien government.
Apparently, the X that was assassinated here on Earth was an alien
impostor, leaving the real commander-in-chief free to fight for alien
rights everywhere.
Who’s X, someone who was assassinated for real?
Q3:
Name the singer along with the movie, featuring a Marvel superhero,
where it appears:
Q4: What has this been aptly named after?
Hyperloop Transportation Technologies unveiled a Hyperloop capsule in 2016
at the Pioneer's Festival in Vienna.
Though, won't be used to make any superhero flair, but rather a dual-layer
coating for the company's Hyperloop pod that will provide the passengers with
twice the protection should anything damage the exterior.
The company boasts that its material is "eight times stronger than aluminium and
10 times stronger than steel alternatives," which is fairly standard for reinforced
carbon fibre. What makes HTT's version special is the embedded sensors that can
transmit "critical information regarding temperature, stability, integrity and more,
wirelessly and instantly."
Q5:
Finn Jones is known for his role
as Loras Tyrell in the HBO series
Game of Thrones (2011–2016)
Which superhero does he portray
in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
which was aired as a web
television series created for
Netflix by Scott Buck(2017)?
Q6:

Q7:
Identify the character.
Q8:
Whose letter?
Q9: FITB and X please
Martin Goodman was a publisher of magazines, comic books, launched
a company that would later become Marvel Comics.
Goodman thought that making the super hero X was a rotten idea. He
told Stan Lee that the character would fail because readers hated ______
which was the inspiration behind X.
He had to change his mind when the sales figures came in after a trail run
and thus X was born.
Q10:
Marisa Tomei is an American actress. She is the recipient
of various accolades including an Academy Award and
nominations for a BAFTA Award, two Golden Globe
Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.
She received two additional Academy Award nominations
for In the Bedroom (2001) and The Wrestler (2008).
Tomei has appeared in a number of successful movies,
including What Women Want (2000), Anger Management
(2003), Wild Hogs (2007), and Parental Guidance (2012)
What role has she played in the MCU(not exclusive)
which had raised rumours about a possible on screen
linkup?
Q11:
_______ Comics was a metafictional American comic book publisher, and part of
a collaboration between Marvel Comics and DC Comics, in which the two comic
book publishers merged their characters to create new ones. These characters first
appeared in a series of twelve comic books which were published in 1996,
following the Marvel vs DC miniseries. A second set (of another twelve comic
books) followed a year later. Characters were merged to create the new characters
like Batman and Wolverine became the character Dark Claw, Spider-boy was an
amalgamation of Spiderman and Superboy, Iron Man and Green Lantern formed
Iron Lantern, etc.
What was this new venture aptly named as?
Q12:
There are other varieties of __________ apart from the usual green type
such as red and gold type which have different but still generally negative
effects on X. Due to X's popularity, __________ has become a byword
for an extraordinary exploitable weakness, synonymous with "Achilles'
heel".
FITB.
X please.
Q13: X and Y please.
X has played the role of Drax the Destroyer in Avengers: Endgame. X
has expressed interest in playing Y as part of the DC Extended Universe.
Despite the fact that the actor is known for his portrayal of this strangely
hilarious character, he’s endorsed the idea of shifting into one of one of
DC Comics’ most long-running villains.
Created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, the original Y appeared in
Detective Comics #40 (June 1940) as a B-list actor who began a life of
crime using the identity of a villain that he had portrayed in a horror film
that he had starred in.
Q14
Why does these Scottish King and American General feature in the quiz?
Q15: Identify X and Y.
When Bob Kane drew his first concept of Batman, it was very different
from what we think of Batman today. In his original sketch, Batman wore
red tights and a domino mask that didn't hide his blonde hair. Instead of a
cape, Kane designed Batman with two wings on his back that always
stayed up. Kane claimed the design was inspired by X's diagram of the Y,
a flying machine with huge bat-like wings. Y is an aircraft that flies by
flapping its wings. Designers seek to imitate the flapping-wing flight of
birds, bats, and insects. X's designs were inspired by his study of birds,
and conceived the use of the bat-like wings to generate thrust.

  • 20. Q15: Identify X and Y. When Bob Kane drew his first concept of Batman, it was very different from what we think of Batman today. In his original sketch, Batman wore red tights and a domino mask that didn't hide his blonde hair. Instead of a cape, Kane designed Batman with two wings on his back that always stayed up. Kane claimed the design was inspired by X's diagram of the Y, a flying machine with huge bat-like wings. Y is an aircraft that flies by flapping its wings. Designers seek to imitate the flapping-wing flight of birds, bats, and insects. X's designs were inspired by his study of birds, and conceived the use of the bat-like wings to generate thrust.
