9. ANECDOTE:
Once, when my dad was 13 or 14 years old, he invited some of his friends over, since his
parents wouldn’t be home. They had nothing to do, so they thought that it would be a good
idea to bother the people driving on the street. First, they would grab oranges and put them
in a bucket. Then, they would prepare them by squeezing them to a point in which when they
were thrown, they’d explode. The next step was when the fun began. They would be
crouching on the balcony, waiting for a victim. When a car was about to pass by the building,
they would throw an orange to the top of the car, and it would hit so hard, the noise it caused
was really loud, and so the drivers would think something serious had happened. As soon as
the driver got out of the car they would all lay on the balcony head-down, and the drivers
would be screaming at the top of their lungs swears and insults. If you think that the crazy
part is over, you’re wrong. One of my dad’s friends enjoyed fishing for trouble, and so, when
he saw a police vehicle was passing by, he stood up and threw an orange. Unfortunately, he
was seen. They got inside and were scared of what could happen to them. The police rang
my dad’s house’s bell several times. Of course my dad didn’t answer. To this day, my
grandparents don’t know a thing about what happened that night, they kept it a secret.
