INDUSTRIAL NETWORKING
Industrial Networking magazine is all about the design and implementation of net-
worked systems in industrial environments. The challenges in designing for this
publication laid in communicating wires an wireless without constantly putting wires
on the cover. Alot of custom illustration work was done for this title in each edition.

CHEMICAL PROCESSING
Industrial chemical processing and reaction are the focus of this publication
produced by Putman Media. Stripping elaborate chemical topics to simply concepts
that can lead to dynamic covers and art was a challenge, breaking out the old chem-
istry book did help.

8. WHAT DO THEY SAY?
Client and coworkers comments on working with me and my process.
Angela’s creativity is astonishing. She has never not
delivered on a concept or layout regardless of time
restraints and opposing priorities. Somehow she always
gets the tasks asked of her done and done well. Angela
approaches each job with a can do attitude.
Laurel Didier, Vice President, Group Publisher at Vance Publishing
As a fellow designer, I knew that I
could always count on Angela when I
needed help with a project, I never had
to second-guess anything.

MARYWOOD UNIVERSITY
This brochure initiated an endowment campaign to rebuild The Center for Spiritual
Life at Marywood University in Scranton, Pa. The campaign was successful in it’s
funding and the majestic building is now in use on campus. Not only was a lead
designer, but in addition my photography is used throughout the piece.

Sometimes only given an excel file with data, deciphering when and were data should
be used in pie, chart or bar form sometime can be a tricky art. Data design is one of my

17. GIRLY BITS
This artisan cosmetics brand based in canada needed a slightly risky and playful wordmark
and matching branding to break into the nail polish market. Grown to a healthy brand
since it’s inception, keeping the look and feel of the branding trendy is a fun task.
ADVERTISING
18. FAIRMONT DESIGNS
Fairmont came to Vance Publishing looking for insight on some new advertisement
design to be placed into Vance Publishing’s title Furniture Style Magazine. One of
my first projects at Vance was to develop a wordmark for Fairmont’s new line
of furniture, Dominique. Furniture reminiscent of art deco styling. The second
task, was to develop a series of ads, tabloid-sized, that would be running in the
magazine during the High Point tradeshow.

19. TEXTURE
Modern Salon was looking for an identity for a new collaboration project with Naturally
curly.com and CurlStylist. I came up with this fun treatment, applied it to the prospectus
marketing materials. It is now being used as the masthead on the texture publication
produced by Vance Publishing.

20. VITO’S BISTRO
A mom and pop business needed a logo, branding, social media presence and menu
design. Playing on an image of the owner, Vito, throwing a pizza in the air help give
the business a playful and fun feel yet retaining the Italian heritage without using the
traditional red, white and green.

21. SPORTSCARD MOVERS
With the death of traditional sportcard shops, Sportscard Movers opened an
online presence to give wholesalers a place to sell in quantity rather than com-
pete with big boys like eBay. Designing a logo that represented all the variety of
sports that trading cards came and also appeal to a dynamic changing market,
strong primary colors were chosen and a dynamic type treatment was given to
the wordmark. All matching branding was treated the same way.
