CLINICAL DETAILS: C/o abdominal pain X 3 days
FINDINGS:
Liver is 13 cm, normal in size, attenuation and outline. No evidence of any focal lesion. Hepatic
veins and portal vein are grossly normal in calibre. No dilatation of intrahepatic biliary radicals
seen.
Gallbladder is distended and appears normal. CBD is normal in caliber.
Pancreas appears normal in bulk and attenuation. No evidence of calcification seen. No
dilatation of main pancreatic duct seen.
Spleen is normal in size, attenuation & outline.
Right kidney measures 10 x 5cm , normal in size, outline and attenuation.
Pelvicalyceal system is not dilated.
A calculus of size 6.4 x 4 x 5.6mm and maximum HU ~ 850 seen in the lower pole calyx.
A renal cortical cyst of size 1 x 1.1 cm seen in the midpole cortex.
Right perinephric space appears normal.
Right ureter appears normal.
Left kidney measures 9.5 x 5cm, normal in size, outline and attenuation.
Pelvicalyceal system is not dilated.
No intrarenal calculi noted.
Left perinephric space appears normal.
Left ureter appears normal.
The bladder is normal in distention, outline and shape.
Prostate appears normal.
No free fluid / collection seen in peritoneal cavity.
The visualized bowel loops are not dilated.
The visualized bones appear normal.
Visualized sections of thorax shows few fibroatelectatic strands with ground glass opacities
along the dependent regions of posterior basal segment of bilateral lower lobes.
IMPRESSION:
Right renal calculus
Right simple renal cortical cyst.
