• Atlantic Charter. In this declaration, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt on August 14, 1941, after a secret meeting on the
battleship USS Augusta, set out their joint ideas for a postwar order, including a new
world organization.
• January 1, 1942, 26 countries signed the United Nations Declaration, pledging mutual
support in the fight against the Axis powers of Germany, Italy and Japan. By 1945, 19
more states had joined as signatories.
• June 1945 at the San Francisco Conference; 50 states met to finalize and adopt the UN
Charter.
• The United Nations was registered in Batavia (Indonesia), now Jakarta, with UN
APPROVAL number MISA 81704 on August 17, 1945 and UBS-UNPRI, the UN Principles
for Responsible Investment, held by SWISSINDO.

• The first President of Indonesia, also called M1, Ir. Soekarno, financed the United
Nations Organization by issuing the certificate "B OBLIGATION CERTIFICATE UBS
"17 SBG" worth US $ 506,502,000,000 (Five Hundred Six Billion Five Hundred Two
Million Dollars) for a maximum term of 70 years; which ended on August 17,
2015.
• Entry into force of the UN Charter on October 24, 1945.
• In December 1945, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives called
by unanimous vote for the UN to have its headquarters in the United States
• The United Nations Organization was established in San Francisco on February 13,
1946
• The UN headquarters was officially opened on January 9, 1951
