I am a qualified heating and air-conditioning engineer with a wide and varied
work capabilities. I have 37 years’ experience in the heating and air-
conditioning industry. I have provided product training for Dimplex and Sime
boilers. I have also worked as a freelance gas assessor at Colchester PTC.
Over the years I have trained many heating engineers and airconditioning
engineers who have gone on to have great careers in this industry. I have
provided weekly training days. I have worked with sales teams to provide
training and technical back up on new products. I have excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. I can converse with people at all
levels, Now seeking to join a company I can offer commitment to and pass
on knowledge gained through my work experience.

Company Description: I am since promotion in January 2016, the course
leader, instructor, assessor at Procat College of advanced technology

Responsibilities: I am responsible for all day to day running of the ACR
department. This included course delivery and teaching standards. I am
responsible for all aspects including budget. I am teaching F.E students and
apprentices up to level 3 Achievements: I am currently working towards my
Diploma in teaching graduating September 2016.

To cut down on the travel.
July 1997 – 2014 owner A.M.R Heating and Air-conditioning Ltd.
Company Description: I provided a complete heating service. I designed tailor
made heating solutions for the domestic market. I carried out break down work
and provided freelance assessments for gas and oil for the PTC in Colchester.
I ran the office side of things and worked on the tools. I programed works, set
time tables and make sure jobs come out on time. My role was to find the work.
Then to design and install these systems/boilers etc. I also respond to break
downs all over southern England. I specialize in repairing boilers that other firms
have failed to do. I have helped British gas, Homeserve etc, in this way.
Achievements: We had up to four employees and I considered it a success in
keeping us in work and profit for the17 years.
Reason for Leaving: I recently gained the assessment qualification, I enjoy
training and teaching and would like to do more of this type of work.
2. Previous Employment
1995 – July 1997: Service Manager, Linc Service UK. (London office)
Providing Maintenance and installation work to blue chip companies. For all
mechanical services including heating air-conditioning electrical etc.
• Responsibilities. Responsible for all aspects of the London office. Duties
included working with the sales dept, setting targets and maintaining high levels
of performance, providing engineers with ongoing training and technical back up.
Scheduling all types of service and maintenance. Liaising with clients,
Consultants, public authorities and contractors.
• Achievements I helped turn a monthly loss into a profit with over a million in
turn over
• Reason For Leaving the American head office wanted to concentrate on selling
franchises so closed the London branch down after showing the system worked
in Europe.
1993 - 1995: Senior technician promoted to Service Manger G & O Building

• Company Description they provided heating and air-conditioning installation
and maintenance for local authority schools etc and private companies like
Midland bank.
• Responsibilities. Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of air-
conditioning and heating on Major contracts. Promoted to Operations
supervisor. Responsible for meeting with clients, pricing work and supervising
and advising engineers.
Promoted to Service manager. Responsible for all aspects of the Colchester
office. Duties included working with the sales dept, setting targets and
maintaining high levels of performance, supervising and advising engineers.
Invoicing, scheduling all types of service and maintenance. Also liaising with
clients, Consultants, public authorities and contractors.
• Reason For Leaving. After turning the office from loss into profit, I was looking
for a new challenge and an approach was made from a company with similar
problems.

• Company Description. Designed, Supplied and installed acoustic air-
conditioning in recording and TV studios.
• Responsibilities. Carried out installation and repair of split systems and multi
pipe systems VRF etc.
• Achievements installed the first three pipe Mitsubishi system in the UK at Paul
Mc Cartneys office in London.

• Company Description. Designed, Supplied and installed air-conditioning in
private sector contracts, revel shoes etc.
• Responsibilities. Carried out installation and repair of split systems and planned
maintenance on plant rooms etc.

Working on contract works and as a freelance heating engineer, commercial and
