• Both of my Great Grandparents left there families to immigrate into the
U.S., then settled in Los Angeles in 1954.

MIGRATION AND SETTLEMENT
• At a young age, my Great Grandmother emigrated from Zamora

• My Great Grandfather was the first generation of his family to be born in
the U.S; his parents were orignally from Zacatecas, Mexico
• They were both apart of the 4th wave of immigrants to enter the U.S.
• My Grandfather was then born in the year 1956 in Los Angles, California.
He now lives in Oahu, Hawaii.
WHAT DO I THINK?
• I think it was very interesting to discover that my family can be traced
from Spain to Mexico, then from California to Hawaii.
• I also find it amazing that my family can be traced back 6 generations, or
over a hundred and 120 years.
