Volunteer Experience
• 2006 – Present
Whangarei’s Parua Bay, “HOLYground”, Northland Evangelical Movement
o Currently an active board member.
o Youth leader, working with kids from disadvantaged families in the Northland
region. Have led a team of approximately 20 young volunteers to provide
holiday programmes for these children (camp director).
o Numerous renovation projects onsite; the most significant being a 3 week
complete overhaul of the kitchen to bring it up to modern standards.
• 2014
Marine Reach NZ, “MV Pacific Hope”
o Refitting a 54m Japanese fishing vessel to be used as a Mercy Ship,
delivering free medical care and emergency relief to impoverished islands
around the Pacific, as a humanitarian project.
o Accumulation of 280 hours of volunteer work experience, between deck
labour, and skilled machine service within the engine room.
