This document announces a one day national level workshop on "LaTeX for Professional Writing" to be held on January 24th 2019 at Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies. The workshop aims to introduce LaTeX to undergraduate and postgraduate students of computer science and MCA to help them prepare reports and journal documents. It will cover topics like LaTeX installation, document structure, creating tables, figures and equations. Eligible participants include faculty and students from CSE and MCA departments. The registration deadline is January 23rd 2019 with a fee of Rs. 100 for other students. The workshop is organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and CSI Student Chapter of SITAMS.

Objectives:
The main objective of this workshop is to
introduce the LaTeX to the UG and PG
students of CSE and MCA. This workshop
aims on thorough understanding of LaTeX.
LateX is a high quality typesetting system; it
includes features designed for the production of
technical and scientific documentation. This
workshop benefits all specialization for report
and journal document preparation.
Hence to motivate the students and to
enhance their skills, this workshop will be more
benefitted.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT
The Department of Computer Science and
Engineering was established in 1998 with a
commitment to excel and deliver results with a
clear focus. It has an annual intake of 40 and has
subsequently increased to 120, besides an
additional 20% under lateral entry scheme. The
department also offers a Post Graduate
M.Tech.(CSE) and M. Tech (SE) as a two-year
full time program approved by AICTE for the
students who have a B.E./B.Tech. in any branch
of engineering. Intake to this course is 18,
selected by JNTU Anantapur by PGECET. The
department continuously plans to raise a cadre
of exceptional professionals to ensure delivery
of excellent skills to the industry they are
absorbed in.
