3. Cutting of ITO Glass Sheet
We need two kind of glass sheets:
(i) 0.55 mm (3*4.9) Bottom Plate
(ii) 1.1 mm (4.9*4.9) Top Plate

4. Cleaning of Glass Plates
1. Detergent Soap & RO Water (1:20) /
15 minute
2. RO Water/ 15 minute
3. RO Water/ 15 minute
4. Acetone/ 15 minute
Dry in Oven for 10 minute at 80oC

5. Photo Resist Coating
• Cover this area by Aluminum foil.
• Turn on the Vacuum.
• Place glass plate and drop PR.
• Step I- 300 RPM for 7 sec.
• Step II- 1000 RPM for 8 sec.
Put the ITO glass on Hotplate for
3 minute at 100oC.

6. Masking
• Choose the Photo mask and put on the glass plate.
Turn on the Vacuum.
Expose to UV light for
100 s.

7. Developing
• Dip the glass plate in Developer
(~40 ml.) for 40 sec.
• Wash with RO water and clean
the other side by tissue.
• Again put at Spin coater and
follow the same step.
• Now keep at Hotplate for 5 min.

8. Etching and Cleaning
• Take Etchant in beaker and put it at
Hotplate (60oC).
• Dip the glass plate (0.55mm) for 45
sec. and 1.1 mm for 120 sec.
• Wash them with RO water and then
Acetone.
Clean with
Air-pressure
machine.

9. PI Coating
• Turn on the Vacuum and put the glass plate on
the platform.
• Pour the PI on the glass.
• Step I- 300 RPM for 8 sec.
• Step II- 3000 RPM for 9 sec.
Put in Oven at 80oC -
20 min. and 200oC -
80 min.

10. Fixing of cell by Glue and UV light
• Put the glass plate on
Glue Machine and press
the run button.
• Place the other cell on
this cell & press .
Expose
glass
plates
to UV
light for
15 min.

11. Rubbing of cell
• Turn on the Vacuum.
• Put the glass plate on
Platform.
• Adjust the position of
roller by Screw.
• Now rub the glass plate
for 3 times.
• Make the rubbing
direction mark by pen.

12. • Cut the Mylar spacer of
required size and place
on the glass plate.
• Put the other glass plate
(3*5 cm) on that in anti-
parallel manner.
Thickness maintaining
Tight them by Clips

13. Sealing
• Fix the cells by AB glue.
• Keep them for at least 6 hrs.
This is final
