If we export the product petit Suisse, would take advantage the advantage of
which Colombia is a country exporting for several years, with the exception
that has been dependent on the Venezuelan market.
In Colombia, in the past year, market dependence with Venezuela has been a
negative factor for the foreign trade of the most exportable products, where
milk and its derivatives have been no exception. On other markets, in 2009 the
country exported 1,240 tons of dairy products for value of USD 11.8 million to
Aruba, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador and the United States among other
countries.
As for the products exported, Graph participation of major shows products. It
can be seen that increased participation has fallen to powdered milk, but
recent years have been gaining share of liquid milk and cheese, to the
detriment of product, to the point that in 2009 exceeded liquid milk to milk
powder in the milk base equivalent liquid.
