Energy from the sun is absorbed by the leaves.

3. Carbon Dioxide
The stomata on the bottom of the leaves open up
and take in carbon dioxide.

4. Water
Water is absorbed through the roots and sent up the
stem to the leaves.

5. Glucose (Sugar)
Produced in the leaves and used as food to help the
plant grow.

6. Oxygen
Produced but not needed by the plant. The plant
releases it into the atmosphere.
