5. INTRODUCTION
In today’s era of globalized business competition has been reached to a great extent. So to be
sustained in business we need to update our self by different activities like market survey,
product development and market development, operational analysis, Financial Statement
Analysis etc.So here we have made an operational analysis on Behera General shop to know
about its financial statement, branding activitiy and advantages of customer relationship,
how to handle all the promotional activity and managing various urgent needs etc.

Birth of the Store
It was the year 1984 when Mr Shyam Lal Behera Started a small retail shop at his village
karadapali.Initially it was started with the capital investment Rs 10,000.But according to the
time period it expands and now reached at an asset of more than 50 lakh.On the year 1999
after taking charge from his father Mr Magiram Behera transferred his store from
karadapalli to Ranpur. Now he is known as one of the best dealer of AMUL as well as the
highest turnover gainer in Ranpur Block. He is controlling 5 go downs all over the Orissa.

Importer, Supplier, Distributor, Manufacturer, Exporter, Wholesaler, Retailer, Service
Provider, Buyer-Individual, Buyer-Company, Trader, other, Association etc.

Mr Behera is handling the dealership of Amul for Nayagarh District. He has set an intensive
and wide area distribution network to supply the goods. He has divide all the Nayagarh
district in to 10 unit like Ranpur, Nayagarh, Daspalla, Bhapur, khand apada,
chandpur,padmabati,nuagaon,odagaon etc.
Retailing
It is the main business of Behera family .Various Customized product, General items, and
food products are being sold at a competitive price in every selling point. He has established
3 big retail points at different places like Ranpur, Khurda, Balugaon.Now he is controlling
the whole Ranpur market through retailing.
Enterprising
Mr Behera also established Nadine saree Enterprises on the name of his daughter. It is also
doing a very good business in Sunakhela and Chandpur.They are importing the cloth
materials from Kolkata and Bangalore Hub. You can avail any type of cloth i.e. may be
seasonal clothes, occasional clothes, Special order Dress items.
Production of general items
Mr Behera owned so many consumer necessity items like Atta, chips, château, kaju, solace,
Soyabin, mustard oil, chuda etc. from their own factory. They are famous for their special
iodized Atta in Nayagarh District. All these items are based on quality.
