Supporting women immigrants to Canada:
IRCC has announced a commitment to renewing up to $5.8 million in funding until 2025 for 10 projects supported by the
Racialized Newcomer Women Pilot.
NOC Update 2021:
NOC has been updated with NOC 2021 Version 1.0.
Some occupations have been removed, some occupations have been added due to the labour shortage in Canada.
TEER Category has been the main component to check eligibility for a Candidate to be selected as a Canadian
Immigrant.
3. Working hour extension for International Students in Canada:
You can work up to 20 hours per week. You can work more than 1 job to make up these hours as long as you continue
to meet the conditions of your study permit.
From November 15, 2022, until December 31, 2023, you can work more than 20 hours per week off campus with some
conditions defined by IRCC.

Canada Immigration Backlog Update:
There were a lot of people in the Canadian immigration inventory.
In December 2020 all-program Express Entry draws were paused for over 18 months. The draws were
paused because of a backlog in applications caused by COVID-19-related travel restrictions.
New data obtained from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reports that Canada’s
immigration backlog has dropped to just over 2.2 million.
Opportunity to join Canadian Armed Forces:
4. Canada’s armed forces created an Instagram post announcing that permanent residents will soon be eligible
to join Canada’s Armed Forces (CAF). The post came a week before Remembrance Day.
