2. Once upon a time, there were three
little pigs who lived with their mother.
When they were old enough, their
mother sent them out into the world
to build their own houses.
3. The first little pig was very lazy. He
didn't want to work at all, so he built
his house out of straw. The second
little pig was a little bit harder
working, so he built his house out of
sticks. The third little pig was the
most hardworking of all, so he built
his house out of bricks.
4. One day, a big bad wolf came along.
He saw the first little pig's house of
straw and he thought, "This will be an
easy meal!" The wolf huffed and
puffed and blew the straw house
down in no time at all.
5. The first little pig ran to the second little
pig's house of sticks. The wolf huffed and
puffed and blew the stick house down too.
The two little pigs were scared. They ran to
the third little pig's house of bricks. The
wolf tried to huff and puff and blow the
brick house down, but he couldn't. The
house was too strong.
6. The wolf tried to trick the third little
pig. He said, "Little pig, little pig, let me
in!"
The third little pig said, "Not by the hair
on my chinny chin chin!"
The wolf said, "If you don't let me in, I'll
huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your
house down!"
The third little pig said, "Go away, wolf!
I'm not afraid of you!"
7. The wolf huffed and puffed and he
blew and he blew, but he couldn't
blow the brick house down.
The wolf was getting tired. He
decided to try a different trick. He
climbed up onto the roof of the house
and tried to climb down the chimney.
8. The third little pig saw the wolf coming. He
put a big pot of boiling water on the fire.
When the wolf came down the chimney, he
fell right into the pot of boiling water.
The wolf yelped in pain and ran away. He
never bothered the three little pigs again.
9. The three little pigs lived happily ever
after in their sturdy brick house.
10. Moral of the story
Hard work pays off. The third little pig worked hard to
build a strong house, and it saved him from the wolf.
The first two little pigs were lazy, and they paid the
price.
