KEY PROJECTS
The details of the various assignments that I have handled are listed here, in chronological order.
1. Term Lending Service (TLS): Mortgage Solution: CCC Early Renewal Project
Description Term Lending System (TLS) application is developed by Scotiabank to offer mortgages
to the clients with negotiable rates and product type. The application deals with
creating, approving and funding mortgages for the clients. Within TLS the rate on a
mortgage is stored based on these set rates, with the discount/surcharge being
calculated as the difference between this customer’s final rate and the bank standard set
rates for this term and product type.
The objective of this project is to open up Early Renewals and Regular Renewals of
Mortgages in TLS application for Call Centre Transits for both inbound and outbound
calls for Scotiabank client which will improve the early renewal rate and would translate
to higher renewal rates overall. Prior to this project all renewals must be handled by the
branch other than about 10% of mortgage renewals monthly which are sent to the Call
Centre for renewing in the last 30 days. The sheer volume of renewals is difficult for
branches to keep on top of and ultimately about 45% of customer do not renew until the
last month on their mortgage maturity. The key to retaining customers is to contact
them early. Expanding the Call Centre Agents role in TLS by giving them the ability to
process early renewals will be extremely beneficial from both a cost savings and revenue
perspective. Customers will get a MRC letter printed if their mortgages are Early
Renewed by Call Centre Agents.

2. Term Lending Service (TLS): Mortgage Solution: MPT Release National Rollout
Description Term Lending System (TLS) application is developed by Scotiabank to offer mortgages
to the clients with negotiable rates and product type. The application deals with
creating, approving and funding mortgages for the clients. Within TLS the rate on a

The objective of this project was to National Rollout the enhancements that will improve
the consistency and objectivity of rate negotiations across the branch channel resulting
in a tighter, more optimal distribution of mortgage rates. This project introduces three

The application deals with creating, approving and funding mortgages for the clients. Within TLS the rate on a mortgage is stored based on these set rates, with the discount/surcharge being calculated as the difference between this customer’s final rate and the bank standard set rates for this term and product type. The objective of this project is to open up Early Renewals and Regular Renewals of Mortgages in TLS application for Call Centre Transits for both inbound and outbound calls for Scotiabank client which will improve the early renewal rate and would translate to higher renewal rates overall. Prior to this project all renewals must be handled by the branch other than about 10% of mortgage renewals monthly which are sent to the Call Centre for renewing in the last 30 days. The sheer volume of renewals is difficult for branches to keep on top of and ultimately about 45% of customer do not renew until the last month on their mortgage maturity. The key to retaining customers is to contact them early. Expanding the Call Centre Agents role in TLS by giving them the ability to process early renewals will be extremely beneficial from both a cost savings and revenue perspective. Customers will get a MRC letter printed if their mortgages are Early Renewed by Call Centre Agents.
