This is to certify that Mr. Amedeo BIANCHI, Italian, born in Cairo on
3rd
14/041'1964, joined Alcatel Italia Egypt Branch on the of March 1999 with the
position of Area Manager. He wa-s appointed to supervise the Nile Vision Project ­
Phase 2 - in Alexandria, and in detail for the Agamy Area Exchanges.
Nile Vision project was one of the Telecom Egypt challenging contracts having the aim
of doubling Egypt's landlines with additional 4,5 Million new landlines on copper
cables and consequently tne constitution of a Fiber Optic backbone to enhance
broadband traffic and connecting all new and existing Exchanges.
In Alcatel Italia EB management structure, the Project Management Team was
compose.d by an Overall Project Manager based in the Head Quarters in Cairo directly
supervising several Area Managers which were responsible {or the execution of OSP
works of several Exchanges, on a regiJor;Jall distribution ratio-.
Mr. Amedeo Bianchi reached the Company's HQ on 03/03/1.999 and was ind'ucted fOli a
2 weeks program after which hejoined his post at Alexandria Branch.
Starting by the 17th
of March 1999 he was appointed for the supervision of the new "6'th
October City Exchange) with a total of 50000 Lines.
In parallel to this, starting from March 2000, he was appointed to supervise the new
Hanoville 2 Exchange with a total of 50000 lines.
By the start of 2001 he was directly supervising 4 New exchanges in various project
phase in the Amreya Department (6th October,Hanoville 2, Betash 2, Betash 1 and
HanovHle 1), for an overall 400.0000' Lines (new and cut-over).
During this period Mr. Bianchi was also taking care of common eqUipment management
(trucks and compressors) as an assistant to the Branch Manager at Alexandria. This
period ended on June 2002, when he was appointed as On-Shore Project Manager for
the new f-fA project in West Delta.
After moving to Cairo and be based in Alcate! Italia EB Head Quarters, Mr. Bianchi was
promoted Project Manager and appointed to the West Delta Regional Control Center
(WIJRCC) Project, which client was EEA (Egyptian Electricity Authority, now renamed
EETC- Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company). The Contract value for Alcatel
Italia was 14 MEgP and 14 MEuros. Scheduled time was 24 months and a total 850 kmt
of ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) FO Cables to be laid in 2225 HV OHL Towers (66
KV) and 100 kmt of OPGW on 220 kV OHL Towers. The contract was financed by French
Protocol and was in consortium with Alcatel France (ISO).
From June 2001 until April 2003 Mr. Bial1chi was involved in all prelirDinary phases and
in tbe last tendering phases until the official signature of the contract in March 2003.

He Was then directly and fully appointed to the WDRCC project as Local GPM,
representing the Alcatelltalia in the consortium and being on-shore PM for the French
portion of the contract (telecommunication system, MUX/SDH for 52 SIS, cable supply
- ADSSIOPGWIUGOP).
He was supervising a project team composed of:
1 Construction Manager (expatriate)
1 Document Manager
1 Assistant
2 Site engineers
He was dealing with the sub-contractors and managing all financial and commercial
aspects of the project, independently and reporting directly to the Unit Manager.
He was also appointed to the Douala-Bafoussam ADSS projects in Cameroon, for the
French ISD department, during which he was supporting the Tendering Department in
France until the signature of the LOA, reached in April 2007.
Mr. Amedeo Bianchi left Alcatel-Lucent on 30/06/2007 as per his own decision, after
completing successfully the PAC of WDRCC project and the signature of Cameroun
project and we wish him all the best in his future career.
During all the period of his performance with us, we found Mr. Bianchi to be a hard
worker, a good team work player, and ready to improve his skills by undertaking
seriously trainings and updating. He has developed high skills in the commercial and
financial part of the project management, being able to deal independently in all
.nvoicing, sub-contracting, financial issues. He is eased in the communication with
partners and clients in this Region due to his second mother tongue (Arabic), being
born and raised in Egypt. He was also at ease with foreign partners and suppliers in
Europe and in the ME.
We recommend Mr. Bianchi to any com~any having business and contracts in this region
