Internet:
The first online interactive advertisement will be on the Dryers Outshine website.
People can send in their favorite combinations of fruits and vegetables and name
their combination. Submissions can be sent in through the website or social media.
A select few will be chosen and sold globally. Winners will have their picture shown
on the Outshine website and social media pages. They will also receive free Outshine
products for one year and a $10,000 scholarship. Contests are a fun way to get
people to engage with a brand. Giving people an incentive to interact with the brand
will keep it current and talked about.
The second Internet advertisement I want to do will be interactive. The ad will be
placed on Hulu and YouTube. A picture of a piece of fruit will pop up and the viewer
will be told to peel the fruit or scratch away the skin to reveal what is inside. If the
viewer is on a computer they will have to click and drag the peel and if the viewer is
on a tablet or smartphone they will use their fingers to peel the fruit. Once they
have peeled the fruit there will be a bright light and Jennifer Aniston and Bradley
Cooper will emerge. There will be a rotation of different fruits revealing them. The
viewer will get to choose either Jennifer or Bradley and pick which flavor fruit bar
they want them to eat. After they choose the flavor the viewer will the get to choose
how they want the actors to eat the fruit bars. Once again I believe that this simple
interaction will cause the user to remember the product and talk about the
interactive aspect of the advertisement.
The third Internet advertisement will also be interactive. The advertisement will
pop up during commercial breaks on Hulu it will also appear on apps such as
Snapchat, MyFitnessPal and gaming apps. When the ad pops up it will show a box of
the Outshine fruit bars on one side of the screen and a pile of different fruits and
vegetables on the other side of the screen. The words “ How many fruits and
vegetables do you think is in one box of Outshine?” The viewer will drag the fruits
and vegetables of their choice and place it in the outshine box. Once they have put
the amount of fruits and vegetables they believe is in the box they will click submit.
The ad will then show them the correct amount that goes into the box.

Out of Home:
There are three different Out of Home advertisements I have for this
campaign as well. I want to place vending machines in outlet malls throughout the
country. The vending machines will look like giant Outshine fruit bars. There will be
a screen on the front of the vending machine showing the most recent tweets. There
will also be information about the online contest printed on the front of the
machine. Every time someone tweets about the Outshine bars the vending machine
will put of a sweet fruity smell and give out free sample size fruit bars.
The second Out of Home advertisement will be the Outshine packaging and
the wrappers themselves. For example, if someone buys pomegranate fruit bars the
box will have a peel off as part of the pomegranate skin. When the consumer peels
the fruit there will be a quick fact about the health benefits of the pomegranate and
a coupon for $1 off. Next the wrappers themselves will look like a pomegranate. The
same concept will go for the other flavors offered.
The third Out of Home advertisement is a digital billboard. The poles that
holds up the billboard will be made to look like the stick with the fruit bars attached
to it. On hot days or rainy days the fruit bar will appear be melting. As the fruit bars
melts people can choose to “save their flavor” by visiting the Outshine website on
their phones or tablets. To save their flavor they can choose to send cool air its way
which will appear on the billboard or they can send an umbrella to save it from the
rain. Once one of the flavors has melted the other will be declared the winner and
whoever saved it will receive an email with a coupon attached. The winning flavor
will remain on the billboard until it melts completely before another flavor. The
billboard will also light up at night so that it is always clearly visible. The billboards
will be placed in highly populated cities through out the country, places like New
York, Houston, Chicago and LA.
The last Out of Home will be involved with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series. As
people reach certain mile markers there will be a tent set up where people hand out
the favorite flavor of the band playing in that area. After ever few songs the
musicians will grab an Outshine fruit bar and eat some of it. They will then tell the
crowd to try his or her favorite flavor from the tent behind them.
