Web Content Mining and Information Extraction | Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Roorkee

• Used web scraping using python to extract potentially useful files and then using data mining techniques along with
heuristics to extract valuable information from them. It has a web crawler as its central software in addition to a name-
email mapping script and other scripts. We managed to create a database of over 10k researchers with their contact
information.

Micro OS - Operating Systems Project | Operating Systems Course Project
• Developed a basic Operating System with a display driver. Bootloader was written in NASM( Netwide Assembler) and the
kernel built in C programming language. The display driver was written using C.

GuessMyGender - A Name based Gender Predictor | UGPC Lab, Dept. of CSE, IIT Roorkee
• Built a software to predict Gender of Indian Names using NLTK (Natural Language Toolkit ) with python. Achieved
accuracy over 85%, using n-gram-suffices as primary feature and fine tuning the parameters.

NetBlock | Software Development Section, IIT Roorkee
• A windows desktop application using python to monitor network usage and other statistics along with feature of blocking/
unblocking any application's internet access.
Object Detection using OpenCV | Self-Initiated Project
• Developed a simple Colour Based Tracking Application using OpenCV with C++. Application detects objects in the
selected colour range.
Student Result Processing System | Object Oriented Programming Course Project
• Built a standalone desktop application using Object Oriented Programming concepts using Java & JavaFX. Application
manages performance and details of all the students and display results in various formats.
