Project description: The project aim is fabrication of Abrasive Jet Machine. It is a
unconventional machining process used to remove rust layer from metals. We fabricated a AJM
in our college and tested on many metals and with different geometric dimensions. Using
abrasive particles and compressed air it removes 0.25 microns of rust layer on the surface. Its
applications are in many automobile Industries, recycling and servicing department. For the
project main aim to design and fabricate AJM at low cost which can be available to small scale
firms.
