1. Place value indicates the position of the digit of
the number.
Value indicates the amount of the digit of the
number.
To find the value of the digit, multiply the digits by
its place number.
When rounding off numbers, do not use equal sign
(=) because numbers are not the same value. Use
the symbol ≈ which means approximately equal to.

Whole numbers that ended in even numbers are
divisible by 2.
Whole numbers ended in 0 and 5 are divisible by
5.
Whole numbers ended in 0 are divisible by 10.
A whole number is divisible by 3, if the sum of
the digits of the number can be divided by 3
without remainder.
3. A whole number is divisible by 6 if it is divisible by 2
and 3, that the last digit is even and the sum of the
number is can be divided by 3 without remainder.
A whole number is divisible by 9 if the sum of its digit
can be divided by 9 without remainder.
