Diversity is one of The University of
Alabama’s biggest strengths (other
than football, of course). Students
and faculty are from all over the
world. Because UA’s community
includes people from all walks of life,
it’s possible to learn from each other.
Unfortunately, UA’s student veterans
are often overlooked.
There are 1,038 student veterans on
the University of Alabama campus.
That’s one in every 35 students.
Although this group of the UA
community has experienced things
many others cannot relate to, in
many ways, these students are just
like everyone else. They have a
desire for higher education and a
typical college experience.
