Symptoms
• Growth dwarfed and thin;
leaves pale green and older
leaves yellow and die early.

4. LETTUCE PLANT Phosphorus
deficiency
Symptoms
• Growth dwarfed; leaves
dull green and older leaves
turn yellow or brown and
die early.

5. LETTUCE PLANT Calcium deficiency
Symptoms
• Young leaves, margins
distorted and scorch; may
be followed by Botrytis
infection.

6. LETTUCE PLANT Magnesium
deficiency
Symptoms
• Older leaves chlorotic
marbling

7. LETTUCE PLANT Potassium deficiency
Symptoms
• Leaf color dark green; older
leaves severe marginal and
intervenal scorch. Marginal
browning of younger leaves
is due to Botrytis
