Regional School District 6 provides students with access to technology and the internet to promote 21st century skills. The district understands technology is important for students' future education and careers. All internet use is filtered, monitored, and supervised to provide a safe learning environment. Students and parents must read and sign the Acceptable Use Policy agreeing to follow guidelines for appropriate technology use. Breaking the rules may result in lost technology privileges.

Technology plays an integral role in our curriculum in Region 6. Access to the Internet and other digital tools offers vast, diverse and unique resources to both students and teachers while providing an authentic audience for our students. Our goal in providing this service is to promote educational excellence in 21st Century skills by facilitating excellence in areas such as collaboration, innovation, information fluency, critical thinking and digital citizenship. We recognize that there are concerns about children being exposed to inappropriate content on the internet. Thus, all school internet use is filtered, monitored and supervised. Students and staff are expected to follow the guidelines in the AUP in order to provide a safe and secure learning environment. <br />Parents and Students, <br />Please read the RSD6 Acceptable Use Policy together. This AUP must be signed and returned to your school. <br />By signing below, I agree to follow these guidelines for use of technology in my school.
