MY	STORY
...	My	early	years
I	was	born	in	Madrid	(Spain)	I'm	the	youngest	of
four	siblings.	In	my	early	years	life	was	full	of	fun
although,	I	guess	for	my	parents	must	have	been
exhausting	to	look	after	a	'gang	of	snotty	kids'.
A	sporty	girl
During	my	teenage	years	I	played	many	different
sports.	I	specially	excelled	in	swimming	but	loved
handball	and	volleyball.	Nowadays	I	work	out	in	a
gym	and	take	ballet	classes.
BSc	in	Psychology
I	got	a	BSc.	in	Psychology	from	the	Universidad
Complutense	de	Madrid.	Later	on	I	took	a	Business
Administration	course.	I	worked	as	an	IQ	test
trainer	for	some	years	until	I	went	to	UK	to	learn
English.
London	(UK)
During	this	period	(1993	-	1996)	I	worked	for	the
Spanish	School	and	looked	after	kids	while	learning
English	and	studying	European	Business
Administration.
Back	home
I	moved	back	to	Madrid	at	the	end	of	May	1996.
Soon	after	my	arrival	I	worked	as	a	trainee	for	the
HR	Dept.	at	Lucent	Technologies.	I	was	in	charge	of
the	definition	of	the	timelines	of	the	different	HR
areas.	The	job	lasted	only	3	months	but	I	had	a	hint
of	what	being	HR	staff	meant.
1997	-	1999	Executive	Assistant
After	Lucent	I	moved	to	the	administrative	support
area.	Since	my	first	day	as	an	Assistant	at
Comercial	Berceo	I	have	worked	with	GMs	and
senior	managers.	My	school	has	been	the	day	to
day	work	but	it	was	my	eagerness	to	learn	and
excel	in	my	job	that	brought	me	great	successes.
From	May	1997	to	February	1999	I	worked	as	an
EA	for	different	companies:	Comercial	Berceo	/
Endesa	/	Supercanal	de	Cable	de	España	/	Estudio
Jurídico	R.	Egea	&	J.	Rosas.
1999	-	2008	Marketing	Co-ordinator	//	
Executive	Assistant	to	GM,	President	and	
Board	of	Directors
I	joined	Banco	Halifax	Hispania	(retail	banking)	as
Executive	Assistant	but	my	job	implied	being	also
Office	Manager	and	Marketing	Assistant.	From
2000	to	2006	I	kept	my	duties	as	EA	and	Marketing
Co-ordinator.	In	2006	I	moved	full	time	to
Marketing.	In	my	last	months	in	the	bank	I	was	a
member	of	the	Social	Responsibility	Committee.
Personal	Assistant	to	the	Head	of	Urology	
Centre	of	Excellence
In	2008	I	joined	GlaxoSmithKline	(pharma	industry).
In	the	CoE	I	basically	performed	administrative
tasks	and	a	bit	of	marketing.	I	was	also	trained	as
ADP	practitioner	and	co-ordinated	team	building
activities.

SKILLS
Executive	administrative	support
I	am	an	executive	team	supporter	and	aim	to	make
my	managers'	life	as	easy	as	possible	by
anticipating	their	needs	and	solving	problems
whenever	they	arise.
Events	management
I	love	planning	and	coordinating	all	different
aspects	of	an	event,	whether	this	is	an	internal	or
external	meeting,	the	production	of	new	corporate
material,	or	a	a	dinner	party,	never	mind!	I	will	keep
an	eye	on	it.
Office	management
My	target	is	to	ensure	office	efficiency	using	the
appropriate	tools.	I	can	manage	systems	and
coordinate	teams	and	projects,	organize	office
operations	(i.e.	preparing	payroll,	approving
requisition	requests,	or	monitoring	clerical
functions),	and	train	new	employees	in
officepolicies,	procedures	or	tools	used	for	daily
operations	and	evaluate	their	performance.
Languages
I	am	a	good	communicator	in	Spanish	and	English,
both	in	writing	and	in	conversation	backed	up	by
practical	experience.	I	also	have	some	knowledge
of	French	and	Portuguese.
Organization	and	time	management	
I	am	good	at	dealing	with	to-do	lists,	prioritize	and
meet	deadlines:	orderliness,	method,	commitment
and	hard	work.
Multi-tasking
I	like	juggling	multiple	competing	tasks	and
demands	without	missing	deadlines.
Flexibility
I	adapt	easily	to	all	circumstances	and	I	am	good	at
operating	under	pressure	in	fast-paced
environments.
Confidentiality
I	am	used	to	dealing	with	high-level	partners	and
handle	sensitive	and	confidential	situations	with
utmost	discretion.
Tools
Microsoft	Office	applications:	Word,	Excel,
PowerPoint,	Outlook.	Mac	applications:	Pages,
Numbers	and	Keynote.	Internet	Explorer.
SharePoint.

I	am	reliable,	I	always	keep	my	word	and	promises
and	never	let	people	down.

I	like	organizing	things	my	way	but	if	someone
shows	me	a	better	way	to	do	it,	I	will	happily
implement	it.

I	am	decisive,	a	professional	problem	solver	who
aims	to	excel	in	her	functions.

...	in	situations	which	require	a	high	level	of
initiative,	enthusiasm	and	commitment.
Cooking
I	am	very	good	at	making	Spanish	omelette...
