I have recently completed studying Level 3 in Beauty Therapy at North Lindsey
College. After working for my previous employer for 10 years as a Secretary and going on
to have 2 children I decided that it was time for me to return to learn as I enjoy learning and
new challenges and looking forward to starting a new career in the Beauty industry. I would
describe myself as friendly, confident and a team player, I think I am well organised, self-
motivated and a good time keeper. I have excellent administration skills and have
experience of sales. I am a good communicator and confident to speak to clients and give
presentations.
During my time at college I achieved 100% attendance which I am very proud of. I have 2
children under the age of 3 and I worked hard to keep up my attendance, pass all my exams
1st time and gain a good client base at college, with many clients requesting me for
treatments. I have a passion for beauty therapy and enjoy making clients feel special. I
entered 2 make-up competitions during my time at college. My career goal as well as
practicing Beauty Therapy is to become a Beauty Therapy trainer/Lecturer.

My main duties included all aspects of administration organising the Managing Directors
daily diary, booking appointments, making and receiving telephone calls and selling Surveys
to clients, complaints handling, taking minutes of meetings, typing of surveys and letters
using Microsoft Office and I have a good typing speed. My duties also included account
work using QuickBooks Account System and Sage, VAT returns, managing petty cash and
day to day banking. I also carried out Risk assessments for the office and HR duties
including holiday, sick leave, employee issues and recruitment. I feel in this job that working
in a stressful environment helped me to gain confidence and be able to communicate well
with people at all levels.

I am currently studying a Level 2 in Beauty Therapy, I am enjoying the course and learning
all the treatments. Treatments I am qualified in include; Manicure, pedicure, waxing, strip
and individual lashes, make-up, facials, facial and body electrical treatments, Swedish
massage, hot stone massage, Indian head massage, microdermabrasion and tanning. I
have also studied additional courses in airbrush makeup, gel nail application and marvelash
eyelash extension.
