Aladdin is a lazy teenage boy who lives with his hard-working mother Miriam. One day, a man named Dervish pretends to be Aladdin's uncle and tricks Aladdin into going with him into the desert to find a buried treasure. Dervish leaves Aladdin trapped in a hole. Aladdin finds a magic lamp containing a genie and ring containing an ifrit who help him return home. Aladdin uses the genie to provide for his mother. He sees Princess Fatimah and wishes to marry her. At a parade, the sultan allows Aladdin to meet Fatimah. They marry and live happily ever after in the palace.

2. Objective:Today, I will be able to
sequence events in order from beginning
to end from a folktale named Aladdin and
the Magic Lamp.

3. Cast of Characters!

4. Let's learn about who and what the characters do in the
story
Who's Aladdin?! A teenage boy who lives with her mother and does not work he is very lazy! ( Everyday he is
playing on the streets while his mother works.
Who's Miriam?! The very hard working mother of Aladdin.
Who's Dervish the Sorcerer?! A man who betrays Aladdin and Miriam and pretended to be Aladdin's Uncle.
Who's Princess Fatimah?! A very exciting surprise for Aladdin, is a princess and daughter of Sultan Shadid.
Who's Sultan Shadid?! The father of Princess Fatimah and the powerful ruler of Al' Kalas
Who's The Jinni of the Lamp?! Is a ghost, kinda of like a monster but friendly! He can grant you any wish you
desire.
Who's The Ifrit of the Ring?! Can take you anywhere you want. If you put on the ring he magically appears out of
the ring.

5. In the Beginning of the story...

6. Long ago in a far
away land, called Al
Kallas lived a
powerful ruler named
Sultan Shadid that
had more riches and
more wives than
anyone in Al Kallas.

7. One hot, sunny day Aladdin
was playing with kids on the
streets, while Aladdin's Mom
Miriam was working.
Dervish the Sorcerer "the
uncle" asked a boy what who
was that boy the one that
was playing on the streets
which was obviously
Aladdin. The kid refused to
tell Dervish who was Aladdin
and told him all about him
all day.

8. The Next Day...

9. Dervish found Aladdin and
told him,“Can you please
take me to your parents?"
Poor Aladdin looked at him
sadly and said, “Yes,but my
dad. Before Aladdin could
say anything else Dervish
said “Let’s go!” As they
walked up Dervish said to
Aladdin you look just like
your dad when he was a
boy.

10. Once Aladdin took Dervish to
his house,Dervish asked
Miriam (the mom) that where
was her husband he needed to
talk to him. Miriam looked at
Dervish sadly and replied, “
Sir, my husband had died
many years ago.” :( Noooo!!! I
have returned too late! :( He
was my brother and now he’s
dead.

11. Aladdin asked Dervish if he was his uncle. Dervish
replied yes my boy. That was not true though
Dervish was faking everything from the
beginning. The poor family let Dervish to stay for
dinner, he asked if Aladdin had worked. Miriam
giggled quietly, Aladdin doesn't work he's too lazy
to. Aladdin and Miriam argued back and forth.
Aladdin said, "People don't give me a chance! :( The
reason business people didn't want to hire Aladdin
because they thought Aladdin was a lazy, selfish
boy.

12. After everyone finished their meal,
Dervish said, "Good!I know a buried
treasure in the desert outside Al'
Kalas. But nobody know's it's there. If
you help me, we can bring it back
here." Aladdin said, " I'll do it!" Miriam
asked are you sure Aladdin? "Yes!"
replied Aladdin. Fantastic!! Said
Dervish will leave first thing in the
morning.

13. In the middle of the story...

14. As they went walking through the desert for
many hours they finally reached their
destination. Dervish asked Aladdin if he was
ready to get the treasure Aladdin said, "Yes, of
course!" Dervish told Aladdin that he had to
jump down in that hole what he magically
made.

15. As Aladdin jumped down down to the hole he noticed
how beautiful everything looked fruits everywhere,
clear, clean water. He never saw anything that
beautiful in his life before. Dervish asked Aladdin to
grab a magic lamp that was on Lily Pad, when Aladdin
was going to give the magic lamp to Dervish silly boy I
am not your uncle I just used you so that I can get my
gold. Now give me my gold! Aladdin said, "No!" Dervish
said, "Okay spend the rest of your life here!" Nooo! Said
Aladdin. Dervish closed the hole with his powers.
Aladdin thought why bring me all the way here just
for 2 pieces of cheap brass. When Aladdin put on a ring
a ghost named the Ifrit of the Ring came out. He asked
where did he want to go. Aladdin replied, " Home, can
you please take me home? As you wish master when
Aladdin was home, The Ifrit of the Ring said, "
Whenever you need me just put on the ring, and I shall

16. After The Ifrit of the Ring went
back into where he belongs to (the
ring) Aladdin was holding the
magic lamp a Jinni came out of the
lamp Aladdin freaked out. The
Jinni asked Aladdin what do you
wish for? Aladdin said Golden
plates and food for my mother and
I. As you wish master, replied the
Jinni. For many years it was like
that for Aladdin and his mother,
until one day Aladdin finally got a
job.

17. Aladdin's job was to help sell old stuff for less
money. One day Sultan Shadid made a very
important announcement he said, " My daughter
Princess Fatimah will be in a parade this weekend
and will be walking down here. Aladdin asked his
boss why does Sultan Shah Did not want people to
see his daughter?Aladdin, said probably because
she is too ugly. The guy who worked with Aladdin
told him not to say that if got caught he would've
been sent to the dungeon. When the day came
Aladdin only saw the princess' face he thought she
was the prettiest girl he had ever seen.

18. Aladdin thought to himself he said, "If I have the
magic lamp I could maybe wish for elephants, fruit,
better clothes for me so I can marry the princess." I
will travel in a parade so that Sultan Shadid would let
me meet her daughter and marry her later on. When
Aladdin grabbed the magic lamp The Jinni asked
Aladdin "What do you wish for master?" Aladdin said,
"Two. elephants,fruits,and nice clothes to wear for
my big day! :) When the parade started Sultan Shaadi
saw Aladdin and asked who was he Miriam was
talking to Shadid because she came to tell him that
she didn't have enough money from her business.
Shadid said it wa fine but to pay him later. Miriam
answered Sultan's answer he, he is my son. Sultan
said he could meet his daughter that same day.
When Aladdin met her he said to Princess Fatimah
that she was so beautiful. Later that evening Aladdin
asked the Jinni for a ring and asked Fatimah to
marry him. Eventually she said yes .

19. When Aladdin and Princess Fatimah got married Sultan Shadid (Fatimah's
dad) said Miriam and the couple could live in the l palace. Dervish never
showed up again and never saw Aladdin and Miriam. Princess Fatimah and
Aladdin lived
Happily Ever After!
