2. I’ve been into playing games on the computer since I was in elementary school and everyone that knows me was always telling me to get a computing degree. I’m not entirely sure this networking degree is what I want, but it’s a step in the right direction. Plans for the Future
3. I plan to get a decent-high degree. I do not plan to just get an associates degree and I just want enough to be able to make a good living and support a future family and not have to be scraping the barrel for money. My dad’s a great example of that – works at home making a lot of money (aircraft engineer) and still has a lot of free time to do what he wants. The Future of IT
4. I’d like at least a bachelor’s degree but I’m not 100% keen on going into the networking field as I currently am. It’s a lot of content to learn and most of my teachers make it uninteresting. As for the career plan, I want to be able to make enough money to not have to worry about it, mostly like my dad is settled. I don’t want to be one of those people always broke and can never do anything but sit at home or working with low wages. Educational/Career Goals
5. A networking degree requires a lot of knowledge about….networks! The class I’m currently in (protocol & comm) has a similar book to an online class I took last semester, Intro to Networking so a lot of it seems to be the same thing. There is a lot of terminology to learn so it can get very confusing. If the teachers made the classes interesting, I’d be given a lot more incentive to learn the material. Requirements
6. Although that is not the case most of the time, I’ll be studying the material so that I can become independent. Requirements cont.
