2. Who Am I? Why I’m Alex! I’m 21 years old, with my family consisting of my two Toy poodles Candi and Kai, a Chihuahua named Chaos, my mother, her fiancé, and his son. I have a sister, her daughter, and her fiancé that live nearby. My dad and his wife live in Florida, and my step-sister lives in CT. This semester is rather low, as I am only able to do two classes due to prereq’s, but this gives opportunity to get a job for some spending money.
3. What I do for fun! In my spare time, I’m a computer guy; so I like to play mostly any video games. I mostly play any range of computer games in my collection, such as Rollercoaster Tycoon, Starcraft, Command & Conquer, and a lot more. While on my playstation 3, I love Dragon age & Modern Warefare 2. Soon to have God of War III. Other than games, I read magazines sometimes or go to the movies.
4. My Interests!!! Several of my interests came from my dad pushing me. Scuba Diving was a big one when I was younger when we lived in Florida. It was pretty cool. One experience was where sharks circled all around us the entire time. It was scary at first but then was pretty cool.
5. My Interests!!! Cont. Other interests of mine included Baseball and Chess. I did those way before scuba diving back in middle school. I can’t stand to watch any sports on Tv. I outgrew these with moving around here and there so baseball died out, and once I got out of middle school, I had no one to play chess with either.
7. My Interests!! Cont. Lastly, there are, as I said before, video games. Also movies and being online. It’s a good way to burn free time and have some fun and let loose. I mainly watch movies through Verizon; much cheaper than actual movies.
8. Plans for the Future!! I’m not 100% certain yet, but right now I’m finishing my IT associates degree, which should be next year if my remaining classes are all available. Past that, I’ll work some I think and then go further. I’m thinking of several things, with Computer Technician as my top choice.
9. Years in the IT Program!? I started this program Fall 2008. My associates degree is 3-years, so I’m getting there.
10. My IT interests! I chose Network Security as my study concentration, so that is going to be my main field of expertise for this associates degree. I just started taking network and security classes this semester so I am unsure exactly on the details.
11. Teamwork Skills! Listening Participating Reliable Approachable Talk able Will complete whatever I need to do Thoughtful
12. What are my Tech Skills?? Well, I’m glad you asked! I know Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint very well. I have some HTML experience in web design, I can type quite fast- I believe it was 85-90 WPM back in highschool with few errors. This semester, other than this class, I am only learning Network Protocals.
13. Presentation Skills! I’ll be honest. I absolutely HATE presentations, but I’ll suck it up and just do a good job but I dislike doing it to the fullest. I’m not one of those people that are so nervous that you can’t even hear them talk though.
14. Experience in online Presentations! I’d say I have moderate knowledge in this area. For one of my online games, I used to make videos over the course of a few years that I always posted online from rapidshare mainly. Other than that, I haven’t really messed around with it, but I know you can post videos are nearly any site now: Facebook, myspace, Youtube, megaupload, rapidshare, etc (last two give you a link to download and view it).
15. Software etc. Online! Except for websites, I wouldn’t have much knowledge of this area. It’s bee at least 3 years since I did videos online so I’d be quite rusty anyways.
16. My Gifts & Talents! My main focus here is pretty much computers and console games. I can play any game and will excel at it within a week. Friends I play with time to time cannot match up to me at all. With computers, I can hook one up no problem but I would like to learn how to build a computer one day. My dad and I have the best knowledge of computers in our family, with him far exceeding me since he’s an airplane engineer. That’s pretty much it!
