Cloud Service K5 combines an Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service
offering in a single service.
Cloud Service K5 Public and Virtual Private Cloud have been designed to be
competitive with Amazon AWS from both a feature and price point, some of our Cloud
Service K5 Public Cloud and Virtual Private Cloud features are priced at 10% less than
the Amazon AWS equivalent price point. We also offer Cloud Service K5 as a Private
Cloud hosted at either Fujitsu or the Customer premise at a higher price point.
Cloud Service K5 is currently live on Japan and has already gone through a series of
expansions to meet their market demand. The UK Cloud Service K5 Public and Virtual
Private Cloud platform is live now. Finland is planned for January 2017, Germany
March 2017 and Spain March 2017.
The service can be consumed from 4 models:

2. The Cloud Service K5 commercial model is based on consumption. Customers will
be charged for actual usage on the platform over a monthly period.
For Private Cloud deployments a contract and volume commitment will apply.
Yes, when a customer subscribes to the Cloud Service K5 service they will be able
to access any of our Global Cloud Service K5 Public Cloud deployments.
The availability SLA of the Cloud Service K5 is 99.99% measured over a
monthly period.
There are no upfront cost for the Cloud Service K5 platform for any of the deployment
modes (Public, Virtual Private Cloud, Private Cloud Fujitsu Hosted, Private Cloud
Customer Hosted).
Yes, all deployments of K5 will have the same service catalogue and features.
A customer will be able to access any of the Cloud Service K5 Public Availability Zones.
Yes, customer can consume services from any of our deployment modes
(Public, Virtual Private Cloud, Dedicated Cloud). What’s more, customers can build
blueprints that they can be sure will work on any of the deployment modes as they
are identical. This reduces the effort as no redesigning, redevelopment or extensive
retesting is required as the platforms are based on the same architecture.

Cloud Service K5 is deployed in multiple Availability Zones. An Availability zone is
a pool of infrastructure that you can consume resources from. Multiple Availability
Zones exist to provide resilience.
A region is normally a country, for example UK, where 2 or more Availability Zone
resides. Some services, such as Object Storage, are replicated between Availability
Zones in a region.
Cloud Service K5 is based on OpenStack an open source technology. By using
OpenStack we reduce the vendor lock in risk for our customers providing them with
workload and application portability between providers.
Fujitsu’s Cloud Service K5 has 3 options for deploying machines. OpenStack, VMware
and Bare Metal options exist for initiating workloads on. This can be carried out
through a portal.
Customers can create firewall rules and Virtual Routers that are provided as part of
the Cloud Service K5 platform.
Yes IPsec Site to Site VPNs are available.
Virtual Private Cloud and Private Cloud do have dedicated networking options that
allow for customers to connect a Layer 3 connection directly in to the platform.

Fujitsu Cloud Service CF is a Cloud Foundry Platform Service available directly
from within Cloud Service K5 allowing organisations to rapidly develop cloud
native applications in an open source construct and release rapidly to either
production environments or expose to the internet. Developers can choose their
familiar programming language and Fujitsu supports the latest programming
languages such as Java, PHP, Node.js, Ruby, Python and Go to rapidly create new
cloud native applications.
Fujitsu Cloud Service PF is designed as a service for existing Mission-critical legacy
applications allowing for modernisation to take place to significantly improve the
design and development process and to improve the maintainability of mission
critical applications in line with Open Source Software development best practices.
This service helps organisations to rapidly develop robust and maintainable
applications providing tools, dashboard and a complete execution environment.
The tools along with this service can define models, use-cases, business-rules and
generate automatically the code relevant to the definition of the target application
as well as the rapid enablement of the physical target application environments e.g.
2 tier web application, 3 tier web application et Al available from a service catalogue
menu. This is designed to greatly reduce the cost of implementation and
maintenance of infrastructure, OS, M/W and applications because of the templates
and automatization provided by Fujitsu Cloud Service PF.
Fujitsu Cloud Service APIM enables digital business acceleration with a unified and
complete platform, purpose-built for the digital economy. Application architecture
is moving beyond the integration server/app-server pattern that has characterised
much of the last decade of web applications development. Applications must
embrace the four-sided model of API architecture. Fujitsu Cloud Service APIM is
powered by Apigee Edge and this simplifies managing the entire digital value chain
with API Services, Developer Services, and Analytics Services. It provides clients with
API based programing, its expansion and maintenance which can then be used to
create new value chains or unlock data from existing applications.

4. Cloud Service K5 provides both Block, Object and NAS based storage for our
customers to consume. Object Storage is replicated within a region for resiliency.
The System Factory Service enables organisations to design, deploy, test,
distribute, operate and maintain systems running in the Cloud Service K5 platform.
Customers can create workload packages of systems and specify the configuration
and rules around that system such as monitoring settings, auto scaling options and
load balancing options. When a customer wants to deploy a system, the System
Factory Service will deploy it in to the Cloud Service K5 Infrastructure as a Service
environment in minutes. It enables rapid provisioning of services. Templates can
be deployed on to any of the Cloud Service K5 deployment modes (Public, Virtual
Private and Private Cloud) without the need for redesigning, redeveloping and
extensive testing reducing the effort for our customers to deploy services.
