Windchill Customization Showcase
Data Model Customizations
This Document showcase’s Windchill Customization like Data Modeled Object,
Service Customizations & User Interface Customizations.
“My Vendor” is a Custom Non-Versioned Business Object, with additional Behavior like
Typed, LifecycleManaged, PolicyAdministrated, TeamManaged etc.
Vendor’s List can be viewed from Product Context Folders (as “My Vendor” is
WTContained & Foldered)

Steps to Create a “My Vendor”
1. Navigate to Product Context Folders
2. Click the New Vendor Action from the Folders table
The new Vendor Window opens.
3. Select the Participant Organization using Picker / create a new Participant
Organization
4. Click Next to add Attachment (as “My Vendor” is FormatContentHolder)
Editing a “My Vendor“ can be performed either from Folder Table, select the ”Edit
Vendor” action from the right click actions list on a given Vendor Object or from “My Vendor”
Menu actions.

“My Vendor” Information Page is a collection point for information related to “My Vendor”.
The Information Page is accessed by clicking the information icon on the folder table
Tabs on “My Vendor” information Page
Vendor Details, lists Primary Attributes and other System Attributes associated with “My
Vendor” object instance, *the Created By and Modified By attributes are inherited from a
custom Behavior called Authored
Related Item Tab, currently lists the attachments associated with “My Vendor”
Object Initialization Rule Configuration for “My Vendor” at Product Context Level

“My Warehouse” is a Custom Non-Versioned Business Object, with additional Behavior like
Typed, LifecycleManaged, PolicyAdministrated, TeamManaged similar to “My Vendor”
except Foldered behaviour.
Warehouse’s List can be viewed from Product Context Warehouse Page, with Warehouse
List Table listing all the Warehouse created under a given Product Context.

Steps to Create a “My Warehouse”
1. Navigate to Product Context Warehouse → Warehouse List Table
2. Click the New Warehouse Action from the Warehouse List Table
The new Warehouse Window opens.
3. Enter the fields listed in the first Wizard Page
4. Click Next to add Attachment (as “My Warehouse” is FormatContentHolder)
Similar to “My Vendor” Custom Business Object, “My Warehouse” Information page also
has two Tabs, “Warehouse Details” Tab & “Warehouse Related Tab”, *Warehouse also
inherits Authored Behavior as “My Vendor” inheriting “Created By” and “Modified By”

“My Warehouse” can be edited using the “Edit Warehouse” action either from the
“Warehouse List Table” or “My Warehouse” Menu Action.
A given “Warehouse” instance can be deleted using the Delete Warehouse action from the
“Warehouse List Table” or from Menu Action
